I must decline the Dubai invite though. I do not wish to disrespect, but many of the award voters are avid kaspians who rooted for my kaspa status at least as much as for my research. Let them win or count me out.

Crypto has turned from a euphoric cypherpunk project to a house-friendly casino. You may not be the culprit, but as a top player you hold the lion’s share of the responsibility to correct this, and the October crash your USDe oracle glitch helped trigger adds to what needs to be addressed.

There are three classes of crypto, as @mert put it recently: commercial crypto, casino crypto, cypherpunk crypto. <<Binance should hold a privilege policy for the latter.>> A TBTF CEX should know better and play a different game with hardcore crypto projects.

When binance lists a green frog three weeks post its “launch” but skips a fair-launched-Nakamoto-Consensus-100ms-upgrade-ATH-top-20-the-only-nonbitcoin-marathon-mined project, this is not merely binance rationally calculating; it is also binance molding the market in a way that is alas misaligned with the roots of the movement.

You may feel that kaspa’s sovereign money thesis is boring – that bitcoin is already money and that implementing an internet-speed bitcoin is useless - fine. Wrong but fine. But what’s the thesis for the green frog?

Money is a classic chicken-and-egg product. It is a scam up until one moment before tipping point, “most of the value comes from the value that others place in it.” Considering your resources and influence, I think it's safe to say you can serve as both the egg and the chicken and make it worth your while to push sound attempts towards tipping point.

@cz_binance tweeted recently that “strong projects will be listed.” But binance is part of what defines "strong", it bears responsibility for the market’s compass and impulse and definition of strong. It is not a read-only entity.

Binance listing fees are legit, they are just unfit for category cypherpunk. Kaspa devs and early supporters fairly mined less than half what satoshi and hals mined. We don’t have a 20% ZEC-style founders’ reward or protocol-enforced dev fund; this is not a jab at ZEC and the wonderful @Zooko, who was crashing in my car on a late Thursday back in the low ZEC MC days – if somebody deserves to win it is zooko – but assuming binance is not taking a maxi bet, it should revisit its relationship with hardcore crypto.

We are here through bull and bear, ICOs NFTs XYZs; and we are the source of confidence that restores faith and capital inflow post meme-induced or CEX-induced crashes.

Please fix this.

Today, I want to compare #KRC20 with #Solana again and explain why, in my opinion, it makes more sense to invest in KRC20 memecoins rather than Solana #memecoins.

I've been in crypto for 5 years and have been profitable in the long term. In my eyes, the secret to making money is this: Risk/Reward Ratio.

Crypto in general is completely PvP. No matter which coin you invest in, the only way to be profitable in the long term is: be early + avoid rug pulls/scams. And crypto is full of rug pulls and scams.

I know. KRC20 seems boring at first glance. Low liquidity, minimal infrastructure, no 100x overnight gains. But here’s where you find the first key point of my equation: Be early! What many don’t understand is that Kaspa will have smart contracts in a few months. Afterward, an ecosystem similar to ETH or Solana can be built (DEXs, lending, utilities). KRC20 tokens will be integrated into the smart contracts infrastructure. Essentially, KRC20 is like a massive presale for memecoins before the ecosystem actually launches. Imagine if you could have bought the top Solana meme tokens before the Solana ecosystem even started. Here, you have the unique opportunity to front-run an entire ecosystem—and not just any ecosystem, but the largest PoW ecosystem.

Let’s be honest: Most people gambling on Solana memes lose their money. Those trading memes there are doing it to satisfy their gambling addiction, not to make money. Everyone dreams of making 1000x in 24 hours, but the chances are about as high as winning the lottery. In the end, the only ones profiting long-term on Solana are the rug pullers and scammers, who steal your money while you chase an adrenaline rush. Even if you score a big win once, 20 trades later, you’re back to 0.

This brings us back to the Risk/Reward Ratio: KRC20 memecoins are nearly unruggable. The worst that can happen is that you buy a bad token, but no dev can dump 99% of the supply on your head or remove liquidity (that’s technically impossible). For memes, there’s no better risk/reward ratio than KRC20 tokens. Sure, there are only a few hundred different memecoins on KRC20, and maybe only 50–100 are active. But that’s because everyone here is trying to build something, while scammers—who launch a new coin every 10 seconds—can’t gain traction. The probability of hitting a good token on KRC20 is likely 1/10, whereas on Solana, it’s probably closer to 1/100,000.

Sure, you need more patience with KRC20 tokens than with Solana tokens. But if you’re truly in crypto to make money rather than feed your gambling addiction, you can only come to one conclusion: From a risk/reward perspective, it makes sense to invest your Solana money here.
