What ‘complaining’ on Twitter does is get a conversation going so that we can address the issues broadly w/o making any lone woman sacrifice herself to them.

@jonpetrychyn Maybe we make accepting papers contingent on complete a number of quality reviews within an assigned period? People who review regularly for a journal can have those reviews banked. People who don’t have their paper in limbo.

@sakrejda @jonpetrychyn @docfreeride I feel like this is backwards. One of the points of this thread is that women are more likely to spend their time doing free labor. Free labor = less time to publish. Also I am pretty sure reviewers know what it takes to get published, if not, would they be effective reviewers?
