Another Women’s Budget Statement on Budget night. This is a good thing. But other countries also have Children’s Budget Statements reinforcing accountabilities across portfolios for child health, learning and wellbeing. Maybe next year?

This beautiful child was taken from his family with unthinkable violence. We must demand #justiceforcassius and all Aboriginal women and children. https://t.co/QG4CYQrqV1
Parents: Ok I just have to fit my entire work week into an eight hour day today since last week I had four appointments, car trouble, and school was closed for conferences for two days..but I think I can do it if I skip lunch and ignore some things
Kids: mama? I frowed up
My heart goes out to the family of Cassius Turvey. I can’t imagine the thought of a loved one being taken from me by a racist with a metal pole.
The racist is a murderer. But the racism of the Australian public is also complicit for creating the environment for this to happen
Just finished watching @4corners I don’t think I even have the right words for the emotions felt listening to families of murdered and missing Aboriginal women. @bridgeyb shared these stories cantering the humanity of the women. They are loved, missed and should still be with us.
Racism kills. Violence against First Nations people in this country must end. I stand with you, I will fight for you and do everything I can to bring justice to the family and community. #justiceforcassius
