The mayor of Baltimore offered an eyebrow-raising quip… “If it’s not illegal then it’s appropriate!” I strongly disagree in SO MANY LEVELS! However, this raises a bigger question… should Maryland have a State Level Inspector General that will vigilantly hunt down fraud and mismanagement of taxpayer funds? Gov. Moore obviously does not want this, which is why his own office does not do any audits. I feel the General Assembly should step up in the face of year over year budget deficits and embarrassing headlines from state agencies. #maryland
