This documentary shows the power of education to tackle critical human rights, issues- racial justice, gender diversity, sexual violence, the rights of persons with disabilities, are some of the themes addressed by these young educators @amnesty@ohchr@sgi_info#UDHR75
Last week, the Prime Minister said the world “will not tolerate any more excuses” on aid not being delivered to Gaza.
Since then, Palestinian children in Gaza have continued to be bombed, shot, starved and besieged by Israeli forces. They are being systematically denied the very basic means for their survival.
And now they face losing one of their few remaining lifelines. @UNRWA is the backbone of an already crippled aid response, supplying food and water to children and families who have nowhere else to turn. Unilaterally criminalising UNRWA, its activities, and its staff is unconscionable.
@Keir_Starmer, your words are meaningless without action.
The UK must do everything in its power to ensure UNRWA can continue to deliver its lifesaving services, and to end this war on children. This includes securing an immediate, definitive ceasefire and suspending all arms to Israel.
🚨 We call on world leaders to act urgently to protect @UNRWA from the unprecedented and dangerous attacks it faces from the Israeli Government 🚨
The future of millions of Palestinians is at stake, and the world must act without hesitation.

@SkyNews Education is a basic human right. What Palestinian children are going through is unimaginable. Not just losing their education & hopes for future but immense suffering, trauma, inflicted disabilities, pain, being terrified, losing family, etc. now. This needs to stop!
"It's not just not being in school, it's the trauma that they're facing," says Professor of International Education at Cambridge University Pauline Rose.
It comes as at least two years of education has been lost for children in Gaza.

The longest sentence handed down to a violent racist rioter this week is shorter than the sentences imposed on entirely peaceful environmental protesters last month.
Labour must repeal the Tory laws that treat peaceful protest more severely than violent disorder and assault.
We carried out research into 4 Israeli strikes, 3 in #Dec2023 and one in #Jan2024, that killed at least 95 civilians, including 42 children, in #Rafah, #Gaza’s supposedly the “safest” area in the strip, but where Israeli forces are currently gearing up for a ground operation 2/8
At @amnesty we have gathered new evidence of deadly unlawful attacks in the occupied #Gaza Strip, which demonstrates how Israeli forces continue to flout international humanitarian law, obliterating entire families with total impunity

We’re on Bournemouth beach laying out a memorial to the more than 11,500 Palestinian children and 36 Israeli children who’ve been killed since October 7th. It will be over 5km long and we hope to keep it here for 24 hours.
The UK, US and other governments should be doing all they can to protect children, not actively arming the Israeli military that’s responsible for the deaths of over 99.6% of the children represented here.

Six months since hundreds of people died in the Pylos shipwreck off Greece, new research from @amnesty & @hrw suggests the Greek Coast Guard’s actions contributed to the catastrophic loss of life.
Today we are paying tribute to the victims of this preventable tragedy👇
I am deeply concerned about clear violations of international humanitarian law that we are witnessing in the Middle East.
The protection of civilians must be paramount.
They are #NotATarget.
Nobody is above international humanitarian law.
The freedom to peacefully protest is under threat around the world.
