And now for some good(ish) news.

Before the Republicans passed The Big Bloated Bill of BS, the provision for the sale of public lands in Utah and Nevada was removed! 🌎

After 20 hours of debate, two Republican critics, Rep. Mike Simpson (R-Idaho) and Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-Montana), warned it would set a dangerous precedent that could lead to similar land sales in other Western states. 

There are still other terrible anti-environmental provisions built in the House bill, but this win was one small step for Congress, and a huge step for protecting wildlife and our public lands.
