This map shows where the 48 teams partaking in the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be based. 🇲🇽🇺🇸🇨🇦
Pretty sure that Argentina, England, and the Netherlands have an unfair advantage by being based in Kansas: heaps fewer distractions than elsewhere 😉
🚨📝 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: These are the 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗗 new rules for the 2026 World Cup!
• 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘄-𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 (𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀): If a player deliberately delays the restart of play, the throw can be given to the opposition.
• 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹-𝗸𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 (𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀): Also applies to deliberate attempts to run down the clock and can result in a corner being awarded.
• 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲-𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝟭𝟬 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀): Substituted players have 10 seconds to leave the field at the nearest point. If they fail to do so, the substitute cannot enter the field for at least one minute and the team must continue with 10 players.
• 𝗢𝗳𝗳-𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲): Players who are treated by the physio must stay off the field for 60 seconds. There are some exceptions, including for goalkeepers, injuries and if the opponent is booked or sent off.
• 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘀: Any player covering their mouth in a confrontational situation with an opponent may be sanctioned with a red card.
• 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱: If VAR can make sure that a corner has been correctly awarded, but this must be done quickly and before the restart. Does not apply to wrongly awarded goal-kicks.
• 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱: Players sent off for two cautions can have the second booking checked - but there will be no reviews for potential second yellows.
Plans released for a $16 billion mile-long ship capable of carrying 80,000 people.
The 'Freedom Ship' would be home to about 50,000 people, with space for 10,000 tourists and 20,000 crew members.
"The Freedom Ship is envisioned as a permanently mobile city at sea designed for long-term residence rather than short-term travel," the company says.
The ship would be about 8 times the size of the current largest ship in the world, the Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas.
The plans include a 15,000-seat stadium, schools, colleges, shops, clubs, a water park, a music hall, museums, parks, and more.
The ship, which would run on nuclear, would be too large to dock and would remain in international waters.
Freedom Cruise International says it would go around the world every two to three years.
Insane.

The NHL Alumni Association is devastated to share that Claude Lemieux has passed away at the age of 60.
Born in Buckingham, Quebec, Claude was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft and would make his NHL debut just a few months later on October 13, 1983 and scored his first career NHL goal on December 4, 1983.
Claude split time between the Canadiens organization and the QMJHL from 1983 to 1985, capturing the President’s Cup with the Verdun Junior Canadiens in 1985 as QMJHL playoff champions, while earning the Guy Lafleur Trophy as Playoff MVP.
The very next season, Claude recorded 10 goals and 16 points in 20 playoff games as he and the Montreal Canadiens won the Stanley Cup. Claude remained with the Canadiens for an additional four seasons before joining the New Jersey Devils ahead of the 1990-91 season.
In 1994-95, his fifth and final season with New Jersey, Claude led the Devils to their first Stanley Cup championship, registering 13 goals in 20 playoff games, taking home the Conn Smythe Trophy as Playoff MVP. As a member of the Colorado Avalanche in 1995-96, Claude was once again an integral part of team history as the Avalanche hoisted Lord Stanley’s Cup for the very first time in 1996.
Claude played 297 regular-season games in an Avalanche uniform before rejoining the New Jersey Devils in November of 1999, and for a fourth and final time, would be crowned a Stanley Cup champion on June 10, 2000. Claude later played for the Phoenix Coyotes and Dallas Stars before making a comeback with the San Jose Sharks during the 2008-09 season.
Internationally, Claude represented Canada on several occasions, including capturing a gold medal at the 1985 World Junior Hockey Championships and winning the 1987 Canada Cup.
He was loved by his wife and four children, and on behalf of the Lemieux family, we kindly ask that everyone respect their privacy during this difficult time.

This Canadian Press story is plain wrong.
The Supreme Court didn't uphold anything, and it absolutely did not rule out Aboriginal title claims on private property.
It merely declined to hear an appeal of a case in New Brunswick. That's not upholding or rejecting.
The Canadian Press story also got the New Brunswick case wrong. The NBCA didn't say that Aboriginal title can't apply to private land. It said that there can be findings of Aboriginal title over private property, and that any liability for that lies with the Crown, not private owners. I.e.: If your house gets Aboriginal title'd, it would be the government that has to pay out.
The court did say that Aboriginal title can't be declared over land rights (declaration = Aboriginal group gets ownership rights; finding = Aboriginal group doesn't get ownership but can pursue compensation from the Crown). This offers some comfort in New Brunswick, for now, but this matter is not settled in Canada.
The Supreme Court of Canada has upheld a ruling that Aboriginal title cannot be declared over private land, in a decision the federal government says will have an impact on the Cowichan case in BC.
Important ruling for homeowners and the future of this country. https://t.co/YY5I7WtTpj
