@AspiringERMD I agree with looking at the long term. Residency was really hard but was not the forever plan. I'm 1.5 y years out and life is so much better ♡ thinking rural/non academic? sign up for an elective somewhere you're interested in. It'll give q much better view of the other side

I find it really difficult that every health care worker has put their life and their family's lives on the line for each and every patient over the past 2 years but I'm invading people's personal lives if I ask if my hairstylist is vaccinated. I need way more than 15m of work.
@LolaAkinfem This is tough. As a resident and even as a staff there are alot of people that are surprised females are doctors let alone surgeons. Now I always introduce myself as Dr & last name. Otherwise it's frustrating to have the questions.. "when do I see the doc or who's operating on me
