I've been studying bears for >40 years (polar & grizzly) but I've now published a paper on black bears! It was an interesting path for this study but a fantastic team of collaborators & contributions from all North American jurisdictions made it happen.
@adamTford@_BCCOS The answer is very likely yes....the public campaign from COS to call RAPP starting around 2012 for any urban bear sighting has been very effective.
