Hi I’m Adam Ming,

On the first #KidLitArtPostcard , @AdamRutherford reposted it, it was the same week @artthatsells featured some of my illustrations on their account and that helped me get my agent @LydiaRSilver

It took,

• 18 Months of drawing everyday.
• Asking illustrators for advice
• Sending work out to agents
• Taking class after class
• Waking up at 4am daily
• Countless rejections
• Building a portfolio
• A pandemic
• Prayers
• & Tears

The everything happened all at once.

In a short time I was illustrating book after book 5 have come out since then.

2 are in the final stages.
2 are in the works
2 are scheduled

All that in slightly over 2 years

Today, for the first time, in a long time I’m catching my breath.

Huge shoutout to @ginamarieperry for creating #kidlitartpostcard and the whole community who got behind it!

And everyone who helped me get to do my dream job!
