Tight restrictions on what is allowed through IOF checkpoints. Latest official figures show that on Friday February 23rd, a total of 13 trucks carrying flour and other food items were allowed into Gaza. None of these came through the Rafah crossing.

Before October 7th 2023 an average of 500 trucks arrived in Gaza every single day. A total of 14,000 trucks have arrived in Gaza since then. Less than 28 days supply, and only a fraction of this includes food items.

There is an intentionally long and complicated process for organisations and drivers trying to deliver aid. They must complete complicated applications, pay extortionate fees, pass through occupation checkpoints and navigate settlers sent to block entry attempts.

Items listed as “dual use” are banned outright. This includes vital medicine and food items, solar panels, refrigeration units, even tent poles.

Occupation military and police brutalise truck drivers transporting humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Attacks on humanitarian aid convoys have kiIIed 161 UN staff alone. They have been attacked from land, sea and air.

The occupation has turned the forced displacement corridor south of Gaza into a trap to kiII hungry and displaced PaIestinians.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said that it documented the killing of Palestinian civilians by “israeli” forces at the Wadi Gaza checkpoint in the central Gaza Strip, after forcing them to flee from Gaza City to the Al-Mawasi area.

Today (25/2/24) 30 people were kiIIed or injured as they gathered waiting for aid trucks near Al-Nabulsi roundabout on Al-Rasheed Street southwest of Gaza City. This is one example of a now daily occurrence.

There can be no doubt that this is a man made humanitarian crisis. A genocide inflicted with unprecedented use of munitions and deliberate famine and siege.
