@SunsetZen1@rjwood48@BBCWorld By that logic, sure, anyone can kill anyone with anything. But the convenience of access absolutely escalates fancies of violence. Australia changed things up after a mass shooting and their gun violence has a clear and present decrease. How can we do any less for our people?
@rjwood48@BBCWorld There is certainly truth to that. The Atlanta shooter was able to purchase his gun same day, no wait required, and I feel like that flies in the face of even the basic background checks currently required. But assault weapons ban and more intensive background checks are needed
@rjwood48@BBCWorld The 2 most recent shootings I know about were carried out with guns that were purchased legally. The problem isn’t illegal gun ownership, it is that too many loop holes and lax regulations allow people to purchase weapons of death faster than it takes to get a drivers license.
I can’t stand the snowflakes who whine that “they aren’t allowed to say Merry Christmas anymore.” I’ve literally never seen someone shut down for wishing someone a Merry Christmas, but I HAVE seen people get dragged over coals for saying “Happy Holidays”. 🤷🏼♀️
