parking fees aren’t even the main problem. some guards won’t let you park or enter without paying them first, then you still pay KVCS when leaving 🙆🏾‍♂️

A concern about parking fees in Kigali that I believe needs attention.

Last night, I parked at the building opposite Remera Bus Station, near the petrol station. When I was leaving, I was asked to pay 500 RWF for parking.

My question is: how was the time I spent there calculated, and how was the 500 RWF fee determined?

More importantly, why are we sometimes asked to pay parking fees through individuals’ personal mobile money numbers instead of an official company account? In some cases, company staff later say they don’t even know who received the payment.

We need a clear, official and traceable parking payment system so that customers know exactly who they are paying and can receive proper accountability for their payments.
