Today, I asked the government a simple question: why do they continue to ignore Ottawa’s health care crisis?
Over 30,000 people in Nepean don’t have access to a family doctor or nurse practitioner. Our hospitals are overrun. The Ottawa Hospital is firing hundreds of nurses.
People in our city deserve better than hallway medicine, endless wait times, and a government that keeps looking the other way. #onpoli
How many of the administrators, educators or education leaders shared the importance of putting students first?
Or discuss fully supporting students using Special Education programming?
Anyone mention the need to ensure inflation does not negatively affect funding levels?
Were there any useful ideas on how to buy a plane with education cuts and massive staff layoffs?

@MaritStiles ABLEISM is the reason why disabled & neurodivergent students are not been supported in Ontario schools & it has been this way for decades
The SYSTEM needs a complete overhaul

Ontario students with disabilities are being failed by Doug Ford's government.
School boards are required by law to submit special education plans every year.
74% of the plans submitted for 2025–26 flagged serious issues that required Ministry action.
There's no evidence the Minister of Education even looked at them.
The government isn't funding special education based on student need. Students are waiting over a year for assessments. Kids are being sent home because schools can't support them.
This is a total failure.
Ontario police can apparently use spyware powerful enough to remotely take over smartphones and they’re fighting to keep the details secret from the public.
Meanwhile, Doug Ford weakened Ontario’s Freedom of Information system, making it harder for journalists and citizens to get transparency from government.
So ordinary people are expected to live under increasing surveillance, but when it comes to political power, backroom deals, deleted records, Greenbelt scandals, private meetings, and government accountability, suddenly everything is “confidential.”
If these extraordinary powers exist, where is the oversight? Where is the transparency? And why does accountability seem to apply more to citizens than to politicians?
Ontario police are using spyware that lets them remotely take over your smartphone. They’re fighting to keep almost everything about it secret https://t.co/tQ1D0WF7M7
Every fucking day …
Three Canadian cops allegedly involved in rape/ assault in Spain.
I’ve spent the last while trying to identify the three Canadian police officers reportedly arrested in Barcelona over allegations involving the sexual assault of a woman in a taxi.
So far, I cannot find any credible reporting naming the officers or even identifying which Canadian police service they belong to.
That said, it is not unusual in Spain for police and courts to withhold names during the early stages of serious criminal investigations, particularly in sexual assault cases.
Spanish outlets are consistently reporting that:
- the men are active Canadian police officers,
- one is accused of sexual assault,
- another allegedly struck the woman,
- and a third was later located in Palma after initially fleeing.
According to reports, the victim and the taxi driver both provided testimony before the Barcelona court.
Bail conditions and passport surrender orders have reportedly already been imposed. So guess they won’t be showing up for work Monday.
What will become very interesting is whether Canadian police services begin internally suspending members, launching disciplinary investigations, or quietly placing officers on leave.
That is often where identities begin to emerge publicly.
If these allegations are true, this is an international embarrassment not just for the officers involved, but potentially for whatever agency employed them.
If anyone knows who these “men” are let me know.

The goal should be graduation. Per student funding is 203k from jk-grade 12. Spending a little extra to assist students in need that helps put them on a trajectory to graduation is a brilliant investment. The dream of education belongs to all children, assist those who need help!
Turns out Ontarians are finally catching on. You can only do so many photo ops, blame everyone else, and hand out corporate favours before people start tuning out. Poll numbers don’t fall for no reason. People are struggling with healthcare, housing, education, and affordability while Doug Fords government acts like everything’s fine.

Ontario Liberal MPP Tyler Watt said it was hypocritical for Ford, who recently bought and returned a private jet, to comment on how students spend their money.
“The hypocrisy is unbelievable,” he said in a statement.
“This is the same premier who cried about students allegedly buying cologne while spending $29 million of taxpayer money on a luxury jet.” #onpoli #FixOSAPASAP

The Auditor General’s report confirms a disturbing reality: the Ford government is depriving students with special needs of their right to an education.
The Ontario Greens will keep fighting to invest in our children instead of luxury jets for the Premier, join us: https://t.co/PKpACE6cmL
On Tuesday, the Auditor General confirmed what parents, teachers, and education workers have been warning about for years.
This government is failing students with special needs. Somehow, they found $29 million for a luxury private jet, but continue to shortchange special education in Ontario.
Every child deserves access to a quality education and the support they need to succeed in the classroom - no matter their needs. #onpoli #onted

Doug Ford mocked students for taking “basket-weaving courses” and blowing OSAP money on “luxury watches and colognes.”
A new report shows less than 1% of OSAP funds were misused.
Less. Than. 1%.
He invented a crisis to cut student aid – then pulled $30 million from people’s pockets to buy himself a luxury private jet.
I’ll keep fighting this government until the cuts to OSAP are reversed.
Interesting how around the same time this government was announcing cuts to OSAP, they were also making installment payments on a luxury private jet for Doug Ford.
Students were told to tighten their belts while this government spent taxpayer money like it was nothing. #onpoli

Sad day for public education with the passing of Bill 101.
Education workers and support staff, such as custodians, deserve respect and to be heard. Instead, this bill centralizes more power in the hands of the Education Minister while doing little to actually improve student success.
Ontario students, parents, and education workers deserve better. #onpoli #onted @osstf@ETFOeducators@OECTAProv@AEFO_ON_CA
