@PhaseConnect So I took the liberty of fixing your garbage "notice" to be more accurate. I hope you appreciate it. Also, you owe Jelly Hoshiumi an apology. Dogeza. For ignoring the harassment she faced and doing this.
Shame on you.
Well great, more ammo to attack phase connect with, I guess. Some might even say this is vague capitulation that throws one of your own talents under the bus to appease outsiders who already despise your agency and everything it supposedly stands for.
Jelly made an inappropriate comment? Although she was a little bit misinformed about the idea of it being an education version exclusive resulting in 99% of minecraft players not even seeing this unless they wanted to, she simply said she doesn't want forced politics shoved into a child block game meant for escapism. That's it. No slurs, no calls for violence, no celebration of death, just a completely reasonable take shared by the vast majority of gamers tired of activist lecturing in entertainment spaces.
But regardless you rush out this damage-control statement, delete her posts, and signal "zero tolerance" without ever defining what was actually wrong. Why? Because a handful of bad-faith clippers and outrage tourists amplified it to 3M+ views?
Congratulations, you just handed them a Streisand victory and guaranteed even more harassment toward her. Worse, this offers people a new avenue of attack, because the talent themselves didn't make a statement, you had to apologize for her.
Pippa and others have built careers on edgy takes that push boundaries much harder than "keep politics out of Minecraft." Phase's entire brand was built on allowing talents to speak freely without corporate sanitization. Now, the second it touches a third-rail topic, you fold like a cheap suit to protect PR with people who will never support you anyway.
This isn't "protecting talents", it's betraying them. It's signaling to your core audience (the ones who actually pay for merch, supers, and subs) that you'll sacrifice principles the moment Twitter mobs howl. Long-term, this erodes trust irreversibly. You're alienating the loyal fans who stuck with you through real controversies, while gaining nothing from the critics.
Choose a lane: either stand by your talents and the free-expression ethos that made Phase Connect unique, or fully embrace the sanitized corporate VTuber model and watch your distinct identity die.
Remember we broke this footage of @ABC anchor Amy Robach caught on a hot mic on commercial break confessing she had the Epstein story three years earlier, but her network spiked it.
The Epstein files drop, recall the media protected him. Ask “why?" https://t.co/Lsv7U8CWsl

@ember_paradox@Awk20000 Sad to see honestly... These people already hate Phase Connect and now Phase showed that they rather side with them, instead of supporting their own talents and community...
@Awk20000 Meanwhile they were silent when one of their talents "Clara" posted this after the Charlie Kirk assassination and during her comeback stream the CEO "Sakana" rewarded her with donations. Now he throws his talent under the bus for this...
"I wish we hadn't called it Warcraft.
It sounds intimidating."
