@Russell3Hammer@jonsopel@RNLI They're a charity, not a public emergency service. So if you're worried they're going to be overwhelmed you should donate some money. There's noone else out there responding to emergencies.
@Mr_JSheffield@DanNeidle TBH I didn't find it misleading. I read it expecting a discussion on the impact of fiddling around with top rates of income tax and that's what I found. Wealth is very different from income.
@2002ViperFE@MR_275_285@gllnkk@SkySportsGolf@Keegan_Bradley Given the rule only applies if someone withdraws *before* the match starts I don't think it's as open to abuse as you suggest. These players are either the best over the previous year of competition or they're hand picked by the captain. None of them want to quit in advance.
@Max3011968626@Elizabe14138715@Keir_Starmer Abolishing state support for schools and pensions as you suggest would definitely save a lot of money. What would you spend the extra cash on?
@ElTimidoTorero@KuperSimon@FT *perceived* crime rates? I recommend you read this and look at stats of recorded crime.
Also, Europe is much more diverse than Paris or London and Americans live in cities/towns far more dangerous than NYC

@TheNewsAgents@jonsopel@lewis_goodall He's definitely sowing seeds of destruction right now. Whether his own or everyone else's, it's hard to tell among all the noise.
@carlos_frum@brown_me@kylegriffin1 Oh, I know about VAT. I just wondered what this tax on US imports was that provided a justification for tariffs on European goods.
@dizzyprof@lionelbarber@GreekAnalyst Beautiful country you have there. It'd be a terrible shame if we were to strip it of all its wealth while we let the wolves at your door eat the rest.
You don't understand respect.
You don't really understand much of anything at all.
