@MatthewMKE98@BuschMVP@Carusoismygoat1 I guess accusations and allegations just mean someone did it, no need to have preliminary hearings or courts at all. Send everyone to jail. The county found no sufficient evidence to even bring charges against the guy. Buddy ol pal needs to get a grip.
@tgriffith1992 Wanting a cap is not equivalent to choosing the owners over the players, the fans are the third party in this equation. Salary floor and a cap will provide more for the fans than those it would hurt. Players will still make money owners will too. Stop this exaggerated take.
@BrandoMalave@charmcityoriole@AngryMariners You’re on one. Other sports have learned how to work around the cap and still give players expensive contracts. Making excuses for the top 1% of baseball players is crazy. They’re the ones benefiting from the current system.
@BrandoMalave@charmcityoriole@AngryMariners Players that will lose money will only lose money if they try to stay on one team, players who want top dollar will have to shop around and go to other teams. That is the benefit of not only a cap but also a salary floor. Plus the majority of players who aren’t your stars get $$$
@LawrWatcher@karlykingsley They are not losing money on their hot dogs, like gas stations, they may make as little as a fraction of a penny on it like (gas) to accomplish what you speak of but I’m highly doubting they’re losing money on a $1.50 hot dog.
@JesseRogersESPN How does the current structure promote competitive balance? Free and open spending and lack of floor really produces a balanced environment
@HJablowmi1234@KodyDuncanPGH Maybe because they aren’t worth excessive amounts of millions. At some point the market for professional athletes hits a ceiling not every player is worth top market price for their position, and NFL Salary cap has increased as profits do so the MLB would likely follow suit
@HJablowmi1234@KodyDuncanPGH Go look around the nfl plenty of players are making top dollar if they deserve it, teams just push the money to different years and manipulate the cap. Adding a salary floor will also provide increased opportunities for players to earn on other teams
@GaryHeadlock50@DarthLordFelix@BillShaikin The league where players are earning hundreds of millions of dollars? Salary caps don’t restrict big contracts, just means players have to go to multiple teams to get their big deal and not just 1 or 2 teams.
@JLucroy20@TritonTrojan31 Didn’t Carlos Gomez have some behavior questions while you were in Milwaukee? Funny how the pot calls the kettle black. It’s a gesture and it’s a game get the fuck over it and quit acting like kids are going to go do heinous things after they see a gesture. Softest mindset.
@NaomiKowles The NFL doesn’t have that problem, the country and probably world has that issue. It’s a sad reality but fans asking football questions doesn’t have anything to do with athletes making bad choices. They make those choices themselves, consequences bring change.
@MatthewMKE98 It genuinely pains me to see the same 3 trotted out there day after day with the occasional rotational guy equally as bad. Ortiz has good defense but we need more than that and Hamilton doesn’t produce anything other than bunt singles. Too much pressure on 1-6 every day.
@RwondoNaples@McCullum1223@CDLDramaCentral I’d prefer fresh people rotated however there is a need for veteran leadership on the roster with Renegade brand new to cod and Johnny is still so young. Two vets makes sense hopefully they keep it a 50/50 split at least, think it’s fair that way
@BareZachow1@BrewersOfMKE@Datapleaz I’d just like to see us make an effort to boost the infield production whatever way they want to do it. Can’t have Ortiz Hamilton and Rengifo later in the year
@BareZachow1@BrewersOfMKE@Datapleaz 100% but on one hand either you use your top prospects and have them for many years of control for cheap or you do like you say make a trade with them. I’m okay with parting with depth but I’d rather send the current top value depth on bats, Mis pitched 7 scoreless only to lose
