I’m curious if social media magically disappeared how many kids would still “really” want to play sports. How many kids “love” playing organically? Just one man’s opinion, but I think the number is low.
I will die on this hill. I will argue till I’m blue in the face. I will produce the data.
Participation in youth sports/activities is as important as many of the classes my kids take at school. Maybe more important.
Riverside High School in De Graff, Ohio recently built a new sports performance facility featuring a Stray Dog Strength designed and installed weight room. An impressive setup for any school, especially a Division 7 public school.

Extremely honored to announce that we will be 1/4 schools in the state of Ohio and the only football team in Columbus who will be wearing @Jumpman23 jerseys.
We will work to live up to the high standards of the brand! Thanks to @BSNSPORTS for making it possible!

Proud to announce that this season, for the first time, we are introducing a “Game Plan” for our athletes mental health.
Our hope is that other teams around the state/country use our program as a blueprint to build their own and we’d be happy to share our strategy with anyone.
⚾️ #OHSAA BASEBALL: Hiland scores twice in the bottom of the seventh and defeats Lake Center Christian, 5-4, in the Division VI state title game.
Hiland wins its third consecutive state championship, the third school in state history to win three straight baseball state titles.
🗣️HS Track Athletes and parents! College scholarships are harder to attain now and will be harder to KEEP! To get roster spots schools are
1. Cutting athletes 2. Steering them to medical retirement 3. Taking them off travel rosters.
Take your HS development seriously. Seek results and relationships over reels and speeches. There are different levels to coaching and NOTHING separates them
more than CONSISTENT results.
6 Things to look for in a training program
1. How have their athletes fared in college? Particularly their freshman year. By the time of their first indoor meet, they will have only trained 4 months at the university. College coaches recruit from successful training programs. Results can be reviewed on TFFRS
2. Year over year WIND LEGAL improvements (2.0 mps or under). Don’t be fooled by the celebration of wind aided marks. If a meet doesn’t have a wind gauge there are NO wind legal marks. College coaches want wind readings. Milesplit/Athletic. Net are sites you should constantly visit.
3. How do their athletes fare at major meets (state, national shoe meets, JO’s)? College coaches don’t get paid on your PR, they get paid on conference/national finishes. Gotta score points when it matters.
4. Elite or emerging elite athletes need elite coaching and elite environments. Seek them out. “Most coaches are astronomers. I need an astronaut” - (parent quote).
Any coach/program can have an elite athlete/performance every now and then. That’s called an anomaly, not the norm.
5. Beware of naked people trying to sell you clothes. Do their consistent results match their word? Pay just as much attention to the middle/bottom of their roster as you do the top. Now if the top of the roster consistently under performs, no need to look further.
What do you call the person who graduates LAST in medical school? Doctor!
6. Pay attention to the consistent HEALTH of the athletes. Your best ability is availability.
Now trust BUT verify. Some coaches will claim top athletes/performances they had nothing, to very little, to do with. Good luck and hope this helps someone!

9x’s out of 10 the Culture of a Football program is based in the Weight Room. Teams that do the job in weight room usually find success on the gridiron.
this might be THE COLDEST quote I've ever heard from a player
"I make guys not love football anymore. Football is a child's game. People wake up like 'man I can't wait to play this football game today'.
They listen their hype music. They take their pre-workout. They get so excited to play football...
...until they come across Tyler Booker. And when I'm going after you quarter after quarter, play after play, series after series and I start to see that love leave their eyes, that's what makes me love the game."
It's a special edition of NFL Live today as @danorlovsky7's son, Madden, has his drawings on display throughout the studio to honor World Autism Awareness Day 🧩
Way to go, Madden!
Normalize telling people that have applied and interviewed for a job an answer - one way or another.
Have several coaches I work with that never hear back.
Obviously no answer is an answer.
But be professional.
Ghosting people is not that.
