Charlie Kirk's murderer was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

My church.

He wasn't active and had fallen away, but from what I have seen, he had a similar set of parents trying to love him and raise him right.

Somewhere in his 4-5 years after high school he became someone who was willing to murder someone for the crime of expressing views he disagrees with.

That darkness that he became a part of is still there, and will consume our children if we don't prepare them to stand against it.

Charlie Kirk's example is exactly the antidote to this darkness. In my own small way, I am going to try to be more like Charlie Kirk.
