As people celebrate 4/20, let’s be honest about the contradiction:
In many states, marijuana is legal.
In too many lives, the consequences are still permanent.
People are still carrying records.
Still locked out of jobs, housing, and opportunity - for doing what is now sold legally in storefronts.
That’s not justice. That’s hypocrisy.
State laws have changed, federal law hasn’t.
And thus:
Small businesses are squeezed. Research is restricted.
A growing industry is taxed and regulated in some places - generating real revenue - while the communities most harmed by prohibition are still waiting to be restored.
We should be building a fair, well-regulated national framework that de-schedules, taxes responsibly, expands research, and reinvests in the very communities that paid the highest price.
Progress has been made - because people fought for it.
But we are not done.
4/20 shouldn’t just be a celebration.
It should be a call to action.
Expunge records.
End the disparities.
Empower small businesses
Pass comprehensive federal reform.
@Jim_Jordan To restore confidence in our elections we need to stop the lying, and the seditious behavior, and prosecute and jail those of your (R) party who think the insurrection attempt was justified.
Trump betrayed the country. Deal with it!

@greystworld Justice Thomas says the SC should reconsider rulings that protect access to contraception and same-sex marriage as the court overturns Roe v. Wade ... and so it begins. What rights will we lose next? How far back does Thomas want to go? Interracial marriage, segregation? WOW!
