BREAKING: Zohran Mamdani and his administration are taking new actions to crack down on landlords and help tenants.

The NYC mayor just announced steps including:

-Requiring landlords to disclose when listing have been altered by AI
-Legal recognition of tenant unions to expand tenants’ ability to organize
-Stronger enforcement against negligent landlords whose building have conditions like mold and pests

These steps come out of the Rental Ripoff hearings held in the five boroughs where the mayor's office heard from thousands of tenants. Today's announcement is entitled the Rental Ripoff Report, and it contains a total of 23 policy action the Mamdani administration will now pursue based on what they heard from tenants.
