Biafran children were airlifted to safety by the humanitarian organizations International Red Cross and Terre des Hommes, escaping the horrors of war. They were flown from Biafra to Libreville, Gabon.
Many never returned. 💔
Nigeria’s security agencies are failing in their responsibilities, @PoliceNG@OfficialDSSNG as some politicians continue to publicly threaten violence ahead of 2027 elections, in utter disregard for the rule of law and the nation’s Electoral Act.
The Edo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jarret Tenebe, was quoted threatening “to invoke the “power of AK-47” against anyone plotting to thwart the party’s plan to deliver 2.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.”
Tenebe made the threat during a campaign rally in Edo state where political violence is already rampant. Clearly, Jarret Tenebe is a danger to democracy and rule of law and must be held to account.
Ahead of 2027 elections and beyond, it is essential that the Nigerian authorities ensure that any politician or other leaders, of any political party or grouping, responsible for carrying out or inciting or threatening politically, religiously or ethnically-motivated violence or human rights abuses must be held to account.

I believe that Jesus Christ never existed and that the Bible is just a book of Bible stories.”

AES Launches Tafouk TV To Combat Western Disinformation
In another win for Africa's information space, and another loss for Western media, the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) has launched its regional television channel, Tafouk TV. The channel will share pro-African, on-the-ground perspectives on events in the Sahel, and counter the Western narratives that have turned Africans against their own interests for decades.
It will come as no surprise that Western and Western-aligned media are already hard at work, using every tired old smear tactic in the book to delegitimize this historic development.
As Premuim times has gone this length to investigate Obi’s certificate can they also do the same for other presidential candidates!
Can they also call the primary school and secondary schools attended by other presidential candidates
This Ika brother from Agbor, Delta state tears their manufactured identity crisis illusion to shreds with a straight face. Everything he’s saying in his native Ika-Igbo dialect, I understand effortlessly because, Igbo bu Ofu.
I told you this is the generation that will end the colonial-imposed identify crisis in Eastern Nigeria. Prophecy fulfilled💪
The renaissance is here 🔥
I should also make this quite plain: I do not wish to pre-judge the substantive issues in this case. It is not my place to do so.
But that substantive judicial process cannot be led by a judge whose place in the process is clearly & manifestly beneath the constitutional standard of of court constituted in such a manner as to guarantee its independence & impartiality.
For the sake of a credible trial of the issues, let Sylvanus Oriji stand down from presiding over the case. He owes that to both himself & to the judicial system. By continuing to sit or insisting on sitting on this case, he makes it impossible for any fair-minded person to conclude that the substantive outcome in the case is anything other than pre-determined.
Dear @ARISEtv, @OjyOkpe, @R_abati1990, @ruffydfire
Since my name was mentioned in this clip, I have chosen to exercise a public #RightOfReply.
I owe you that much.
Let me be clear from the start: I will not back down on this issue of the casualisation of judicial standards by a confederacy of disclosed & traceable insider & political interests on all sides.
Among my people, there is a name & a saying: "onyemaechi" (Who knows tomorrow)?
I bet @R_abati1990 had not read Rule 12 of @njcnig's Judicial #CodeOfConduct before this session. I will encourage him to acquaint himself with it, pls.
It is tragic when people who should know better venture into the enterprise of banalising serious issues at the heart of the justice system & its integrity. Yet, we are the first to complain about insecurity & we seem blissfully unaware of the inherent logics of #CauseAndEffect.
But I guess it is the judges who have created this mess. And folks think we must be automatonscat the mercy of untheorised & self-serving rulings.
I refuse.
This is the same country in which Zainab Bulkachuwa - then serving as president of @NGCourtofAppeal in 2019 - thought it was alright for her to preside over the presidential election petition when her husband had just been elected a senator on the ticket of the party whose victory was at issue in the petition. At least one of her sons so ran on the ticket of the party in the same election.
Mind you, @SupremeCourtNg had ruled in 2007 that it is parties, not candidates, who run for office in #Nigeria. Yet, Justices of Appeal under her turned in a ruling that said it was kosher for her to do so.
In the end public opinion forced her off the panel but at the price of exorbitantly corrosive jurisprudence.
Contrary to the claim by @R_abati1990 in this outing, it does not need an imputation on the judge for him or her to be recused. The standard is not actual or active lack of impartiality. It is appearance of lack of impartiality.
Let me explain.
Lord Hewart said as much in R v. Sussex Justices, ex parte McCarthy (1924) that "the answer to that question depends not upon what actually was done but upon what might appear to be done." That was why he laid down the standard that justice must not only be done but must be "manifestly & undoubtedly be seen to be done."
That is the standard at both common law & under the Constitution.
With profound respect, I regret to say that @R_abati1990 has misled the public as to the applicable standard & his claims about that are not particularly well founded.
It is no accident, therefore, that he ended up in an entirely convenient destination with no guardrails in either principle or judicial ethics. But judicial decision-making is not dance-music nor situational ethics like he suggests. It is a bounded enterprise constrained by easily ascertained rules. That was why I cited the case of Justice Anthony Aniagolu in 1983. His son is one of your colleagues, @charlesaniagolu.
The fact that one has to even argue that Sylvanus Oriji cannot preside over this case is itself the problem. I spare you all the details of his relationships with the Wikes but if I am required to I will. This should be a scandal ordinarily. But we seem to have lost every sense of indignation.
Privately, I must say, several senior judges have told me they are scandalized. For the sake of the judiciary, the Chief Justice knows what to do.
To my brother, @R_abati1990, we can continue to pretend about these casualisations until we are at the receiving end.
All you need do is look at what is happening to a former governor of Kaduna State at the moment & you see the point. Today, we may feel unaffected. Tomorrow may be different.
To my brother, @R_abati1990, I say: "onyemaechi"?!
"Interim plan for Nigeria
Massacres against Christians in Nigeria have been going on for too long. The federal Government is barely able to respond to Boku Haram and AQWA attacks in the NE and NW.
I suggest to the Trump Administration to ask the central Government to focus on the Jihadists in the north and allow Plateau and Biafra states to form their own legal national guard and defend their populations from northern and Fulani Jihadists. The guard must be trained and supplied by the US.
These are minimal and fair measures to stop the massacres..." – Dr Walid Phares (@WalidPhares), 02, October, 2026
Yle (@yleuutiset): What do the Self-Defense Forces need most in the Biafra area at this time?
H.E. Simon Ekpa (@simon_ekpa): Of course we need weapons. We need more weapons. What I do is a human right. I defend my own people. So it's nothing. I don't see anything wrong with it or a crime or anything like that. That's why I did it and I will continue to do it if the situation continues. – February, 2023.
Apparently, H.E. Simon Ekpa was demanding the same thing as Dr. Phares, which is the only solution to end the ongoing state-sponsored genocide against Biafrans and other Christians, but Finland decided to unlawfully detain him at the request of the same genocidal Nigerian state responsible for these killings.
So, when we accuse the current Finnish Government of complicity in, and of aiding and abetting, the genocide against Biafrans and other Christians currently trapped within Nigeria, we are making a serious legal allegation based on facts that warrant investigation and accountability.

Burkina Faso Overhauls Its Curriculum to Reclaim African History
Burkina Faso is officially overhauling its national curriculum to strip out colonial biases, replacing terms like "explorers" and "conquerors" with "invaders" and "spies" in history, geography, and citizenship textbooks.
The reform introduces 54 new lessons from primary through secondary school that drop Eurocentric benchmarks in favor of indigenous political structures, local resistance movements, and African scientific contributions.
By emphasizing that African societies existed and thrived long before European contact, this initiative plans to correct decades of distorted narratives and reclaim the continent's true history.

“If the Nigerian federal government decides to blockade and bomb you all over again, some may protest, but nobody will stop them.” – Mike Arnold (@MikeArnoldTruth), September 30, 2026.
To Biafrans, the above statement reads as a threat of another campaign of mass violence and genocide against the people of Biafra. Imagine telling Jewish people that there would be another Holocaust against them and that “nobody will stop” those responsible.
Now imagine the outrage if such words were directed at a predominantly Caucasian population.
I do not place the responsibility solely on Mike Arnold, whose remarks are ignorant and reflective of a deeply troubling racial double standard. I also hold accountable African leaders, world leaders, and those Biafrans who continue to enable or excuse the continued suppression of our people and the illegal military occupation of our homeland.
But one thing must be clear: we refuse to remain victims. We refuse to be intimidated by threats of blockade, bombing, mass violence and genocide.
We will continue to assert our identity, nationality, and our right to self-determination/true independence.
Our aspiration remains unchanged: to live freely and securely, without domination or violence.

@Burkindi_ Haiti paid France for 150 years just for existing. Traoré studied that history and said "not here".
Smart man. They call him a junta for knowing the price of the door he's keeping shut.
