I am in #Uganda, where the government has mounted a prompt and capable response to the outbreak of #Ebola.
Screening at the borders helped detect cases arriving from neighbouring #DRC, and the country’s surveillance, testing and case management systems are doing steady work. Of the 19 confirmed cases so far, 14 were among people who entered from DRC and five are Ugandan nationals. Sadly, two people from DRC have died, and our thoughts are with their families.
@WHO is supporting Uganda, alongside @AfricaCDC and partners across the region, as the country leads this response.
With continued collaboration, I am confident this outbreak can be brought under control.
On the next episode of TIE THE KNOT, I host Brian and Daphne who have a beautiful story of love, forgiveness and restoration. They got married in 2010, divorced and after 11 years, they got back together and are set to re-marry this year in June. Drops on Friday at 6Pm

Thank you @POTUS and @WhiteHouse Faith Office for making Holy Week a top priority. To make America great we need great faith. We have to turn back to the principles the Bible has taught us and walk in the truth of His Word.
Thank you @foxandfriends for letting me join you this morning.
“Because I live you surely will also live.” John 14:9
Thank you, Apostle Grace Lubega, for the warm reception and the blessing prayers last night at @Phanerookampala Holy Grounds. I am truly grateful for your teachings and your unique preaching style. You are indeed among the few generational pastors in the world today. Your deep understanding of the issues affecting the majority of our population especially young people across the globe is remarkable. May the good Lord continue to bless and strengthen you.
As a token of appreciation and support, I pledge five years of airtime on all our stations nationwide, every Thursday from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
Bible Verse: “Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.” Hebrews 13:7
Never waste your time sharing your life’s blueprint with people who are not going to build with you! Build in silence and show up strong. Delete the desire for validation.
It was a privilege to host my elder, Geoffrey Mutabaazi, at the 4th Edition of the @UCC_Official EPIC Awards and Executive Director’s Innovation Awards Gala.
We gathered not just to celebrate milestones, but to honour the exceptional individuals who define the very fabric of the Uganda Communications Commission.
Here is a reflection on the spirit of Excellence, Professionalism, and Innovation that defined the evening:
At @UCC_Official, "average" is a word we have struck from our vocabulary. Excellence is our baseline, but the EPIC awards are reserved for those who have climbed higher. We celebrated the exceptional, those who don't just meet expectations but shatter them to set new benchmarks for the entire sector.
I often brag that we have the "best of the best," and looking through our records only confirms it. However, true professionalism isn't just about a degree from Harvard or a first-class honours at recruitment.
Real professionalism is the ability to adapt specialised knowledge to the realities of the day. If your skills do not solve the unique challenges of our country, they are incomplete.
Human effort isn't measured in horsepower or kilometres; it is measured in that "indescribable" spark of ingenuity. Every team member, whether behind a big screen or in the field, must be an innovator.
Our goal is simple but demanding: We must stay ahead of the sector. To do that, we rely on professionals who don't just possess knowledge but know how to work that knowledge to fit our current reality.
To all the awardees and the entire @UCC_Official team: Thank you for proving that we truly have the best of the best. Let us continue to exceed the average.
"Time is a currency. Knowledge is a currency.
One of the ways to add more value to your time is to add more skill and knowledge to your life." ~ Bishop Dale C. Bronner
