MARCHING FOR FINLEY - Patrol No#1

So the new season of campaigning for @FinleysTouch begins ….

9 marches planned starting as always with:

The Kent IC - Steady the Buffs

@KentBuffsIC led by their Gallant Leaders @soave1000 @Karl_Reid will be Marching from Dungeness to Hythe.

15 miles across Romney Marsh across the “invasion coast” that was intended to be the German landing grounds should Hitlers plans of operation sealion come to fruition.

Highly fortified including its own armoured train on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch railway the coast is a treasure trove of ww2 artefacts and even some pre war history with the sound mirrors developed to identify enemy aircraft!

The amazing formidable @peterfinch46 completed his amazing Day and half of non stop radio hosting on @956BRFM , playing fab music, hosting special Historian Guests and family stories from the IC and people of Kent!!

His unit @KentBuffsIC have ably supported him with all arms and a lot of coffee and scampi/bacon fries!
