Listening (for about the 1,478th time) to 'The Fine Art of Surfacing,' by The Boomtown Rats.
There's not a bad song on it. Heck, not even a mediocre song. Every track is *at least* good, and at least 5 are GREAT.
Truly a Masterpiece.

@BigHowie8@TheDonStein "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." -Arthur C. Clarke
Knowing the Minions, there will likely be a lesson there in the form of 'don't mess with big ugly tentacled things,' and they will come to regret it. Standard trope.
@NFilosofas@TheDonStein Yeah, there is 'witchcraft in service to a larger story line' and then there is 'witchcraft being openly sold to young girls.' Disney's 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks' is an example of the former. This looks more like the 90s-style 'Charmed' kind of marketing to tween girls.
@TheDonStein@NintendoSteve Way back when she was still sane, @MZHemingway had a very good take on the HP universe. Essentially Tolkienesque, in that good and evil are real and definable concepts, and that good is obviously preferrable. There is also forgiveness and redemption.
What new DIsney?
@ltrain15ml@lagerandgospel2 I’m not certain that all these 5 parties always stay distinct from one another. But historically, there was the Otten affair, which was related to (but distinct from) Seminex. There was the battle over Church Growth, and the Preus affair. And then there was Yankee stadium, 2001.
@Chris14421011@MikeCarlton01 Oh, I see the problem here. You’re in Australia where everything is flip-flopped - summer is winter, spring is fall, the water spirals the wrong way in the sink, and left and right are reversed.
@RadioFreeTom
@andrew_cottrell Um…the Canes are playing against a team whose primary color is Baby Poop Yellow and this is your take?
Hmmm… I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you’re color blind.
McNabb DELIBERATELY stabs Ehlers in the face with his stick. Should be at least a double minor, if not a game misconduct.
But no penalty is called at all.
Hey @NHL, retrain your frikkin’ Zebras.

@SlyM I’m a Gen-Xer, so this lingo is not in my comfort zone, but I think those pre-game theatrics are a perfect example of what kids these days call, ‘Cringe.’
So unbelievably stupid. But what do you expect of a town built on nothing but illusion?
