@MTabarrok @tenobrus Mostly true. We do find new classes of vulnerabilities every few years. If we include things like supply chain attacks, I would have a hard time calling it finite. Finally, fixes to the vulnerabilities and any other changes also have vulnerabilities.

@binarybits The changes are going to break all sorts of APIs. Everyone using the APIs needs to redo their code. Those APIs are MS's competitive moat.

For example, Windows Vista was buggy in large part because of drivers not converting well to the new, more secure driver API.

LLMs are experts at so much that it is hard to create multiple layers of security that create unique challenges.
