The White House has proposed cutting NIH funding by 12% and NSF funding by 54%. Call Congress today and urge them to reject these harmful cuts to biomedical research, scientific discovery, and the future of U.S. science. https://t.co/JnVbTggs8x

ADVICE—Do not blame the Presidential Personnel Office for your failure to pay federal taxes over multiple years during a background investigation (while claiming you did), showing a complete lack of candor, and failing to produce sufficient documentation as requested.
Meanwhile, you're running around telling anyone who will listen in Washington, DC and beyond—that you've gone "above and beyond" in doing so, and how wonderful you are (not the first person to do-so)…
Get a grip, be honest with yourself, and stop blaming PPO for your past when you are not extended an offer, due to not being able to obtain a security clearance for a position…
Be OPEN and HONEST to those that put their name on your referral for a job—It doesn’t look good for them when you blow smoke up everyone’s ass, and they call asking what happened with ____________?
It’s embarrassing. BE HONEST! Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely, Dan
Hey @MCDOTNow at 5:17 pm today a blue line flashlight bus blew thru a solid red light on 29 north at Tech Road. If a car or pedestrian had been following traffic signals it would have been awful.
This is what autocracy looks like. Federal “agents” and their rifles at the ready while we exercise our rights to free speech. #NoKings in Washington, DC
According to news reports, NIH is on track to award nearly all of its FY25 budget. Program officers—working long hours despite staff losses—made it possible. Take a moment to thank your PO for their dedication.
ICE and DHS have proposed capping F and J visas at 4 years, threatening international students and postdocs who drive U.S. research. Share your comments to oppose this harmful policy: https://t.co/Fx0DXcx0qz

Hey @csx, could you make sure your trains dont block major commuter routes when they stop for long periods? A train blocked Linden Lane in Silver Spring, Maryland during this mornings commute. This is a major commuter route. It’s happened before.
Today, @NIH staff sent a powerful letter to the NIH Director outlining serious concerns about the agency’s direction. Thousands have already signed in support—add your name. – Mary Munson, ASCB President https://t.co/qmE3wBSiJQ
Saturday afternoon, a very nice @wmata employee rescued us from a stuck elevator on the train level of Forest Glen Metro Station. She said the elevators weren’t working because it was windy. @wmataGM should consider buying the wind proof elevators!!
@brianschatz@ChrisCoons@ChrisMurphyCT@CoryBooker Wouldn’t it be better to prohibit it from happening “no funds shall be expended to operate any plane from a foreign government” instead of just having a proformative vote that means nothing.
Congratulations to Elizabeth Chen of the @UTSWMedCenter who has been elected by ASCB members to serve as President of #ASCB in 2027. She will first serve as President-Elect on the ASCB Executive Committee beginning in 2026. https://t.co/xvucL5IJ0b #CellBiology
Unlawful grant terminations are harming young scientists and threatening innovation. ASCB joins leaders calling for immediate funding restoration.
