This would be ideal but it is so hard as a parent to stop them from accessing the bad stuff. Apple google and all the companies don’t put enough effort into parental controls. The kids figure out how to bypass so easily. We try to train the child to avoid the bad stuff but not ideal.

I often feel that this is a place where regulation could do so much good. I see how tightly tech can restrict gambling if they are forced to they could do the same for kids but choose not to.

This really resonates with me. Inspiration and learning is what I love about twitter. I wish I could “set” the for you tab algorithm to give me this. I wouldn’t even mind if it was deep in settings where 90% of users wouldn’t even change it. I pretty much only use the for you tab. But that means that I have to find cool people to follow from others sources like podcast guests or when someone I follow replies or reposts something.

Wow reading through your thread is like Deja vu. Literally everything you said so far happened to us and the lessons learned are on point especially the board up and remediation people. We had a fire in 2021 and it was terrible getting through it. I always felt it would have been better for the fire department not to come and for the whole house to be gone versus half and half.
