“At some point the healing process must begin…. Favorable action by the President in the Leonard Peltier case would be an important step in this regard.” Judge Gerald W. Heaney (Apr. 18, 1991). @POTUS @FLOTUS @WHCOS @JohnWMcCarthy @MooreWright05 @PeltierHQ @WashArchbishop

A new form of intimidation targets federal judges: hundreds of unsolicited pizzas sent to judges and their children across the country. It’s an innocuous delivery with an ominous message: “We know where you live.” https://t.co/697NkyBXmn

Make no mistake about it. @ndncollective along with Robert Gifford and @KevinHSharp did the most amazing job. It’s an honor to have worked with them on this. VICTORY!!

As Joe Biden’s presidency enters its final days, NCAI urgently reiterates its decades-long call for immediate executive clemency for Leonard Peltier. His conviction is marred by documented government misconduct, including fraudulent extradition, false testimony... (1/7)

Leonard Peltier. Our Native American political prisoner. Still in jail after 47 years with every bit of evidence that convicted him being proven to be false. The most profound ongoing embarrassment of our justice system.

[Jennifer Bendery @jbendery]

NEW: More Democrats and now a Republican (!) in Congress today called on President Biden to grant clemency to Leonard Peltier, the ailing 79-year-old Native American rights activist who has been in prison for nearly 50 years.

Biden has the authority to release Peltier at any time. Indigenous rights leaders made it clear Tuesday that they want him to do it now, before it’s too late and Peltier dies. cc @ndncollective https://t.co/BlD6vPy57y
