We have very unfortunate news to share today... 😢
Support for the Arctic Report Card pulled, effective immediately.
I've been an author for this annual report since 2020, and we just celebrated our 20th anniversary edition last year. https://t.co/lECwV4dFok
The EverythingWeather app was built to showcase the incredible amount of data produced by NOAA and the National Weather Service and to make the NWS forecasts and products easy to access and digest.
The app includes over 200+ products/data sources and more is constantly being added. There is data from the NWS · SPC · WPC · RFC · AWC · CWSU · NHC · CPC · NDBC · USGS · NCEI · SWPC, and now even ECCC.
If you really want a deep dive into all the products, take a look at the attached image (you'll have to zoom in!) and if you haven't checked out the app yet, the newest version is out now for iOS and will be soon for Android!

Such an under the radar stat. The Piedmont into the SW NC mountains haven’t experienced a true snowstorm since January 2022.
And idc what people say, an aggressive NW flow snow event isn’t a true snowstorm. I know it can produce significant snow, but we need a bomb of moisture coming from the Gulf not fairy fart dust coming from the Northwest.
Hurricane Melissa still photo thread… most of these are taken with a @CanonUSApro R5 with 11mm lens but a few were taken with my iPhone. If you are media and want to use them please go look on DVIDs.
*Potential Wildfire Impacts From Helene During the Fall and Winter*
Abundant down and dead heavy fuels from Helene will further become fire receptive, tilting the odds towards a potentially busy dormant season in the region.

Fantastic article on an overlooked topic.
“The Corps’ work removing debris from waterways is largely welcomed, but in some places, the Corps is inflicting more damage than Helene did.”
Contractors are taking more woody debris than necessary, and it’s jeopardizing our waterways.
