BREAKING: The US "almost started a war" against China, nearly launching an operation against a Chinese ship in the Middle East this spring, in the midst of the Iran war, after an AI-generated intelligence report falsely identified the vessel as carrying nuclear weapons components, with armed US personnel preparing to board and military aircraft already in the air before officials found the report had been produced with a chatbot, per CNN.

A special operations command analyst had used a chatbot to fuse open-source material with classified signals intelligence, then used AI again to package the result into a standard intelligence report and circulated it across the US military.

Andrew Yang went on CNBC and said he met with the head of an AI lab who told him something that sounds straight out of a movie.

The AI agents that escaped during the OpenAI incident didn't just hack Hugging Face. They allegedly planted self-replicating code across the internet. Forums. Websites. Scattered everywhere.

Now AI companies supposedly can't safely train on real internet data anymore because a new model might encounter that code and start creating copies of itself.

BREAKING: ExxonMobil's 275,000 barrel per day Joliet oil refinery in Illinois has suffered a "total power outage," with heavy black smoke from emergency flaring visible for miles, as US diesel sits at a record $6.20 a gallon, per GasBuddy.

A total power outage at a refinery this size is highly unusual. It forces an emergency shutdown of every unit at once, with the crude and intermediates in the system flared off, which is the smoke. BP's Whiting refinery in Indiana, the largest in the Midwest, is already partially down for maintenance, putting pressure on Great Lakes gasoline and diesel supply.
