@lightschoice@coffinsnacks@straightgolden Completely agree if she lied, but assuming she didn't, he is financially and emotionally responsible.
He doesn't have to fulfil the emotional side, but that doesn't mean he isn't responsible.
@lightschoice@coffinsnacks@straightgolden He's a deadbeat. Completely his choice not to be involved, but he still had a part in the conception. Her choice doesn't change his part in this or make the baby any less his.
I think we're going in circles here, so let's just leave it at agree to disagree.
@lightschoice@coffinsnacks@straightgolden Yea, she made that choice, but that doesn't make him any less responsible.
It's still his baby. He can choose not to be involved, but that doesn't change the fact that he's responsible.
@lightschoice@coffinsnacks@straightgolden His choice to sleep with her makes him responsible.
He can absolutely choose not to be involved, but that doesn't mean he's absolved just because he offered her an abortion and she said no.
He's still responsible.
@lightschoice@coffinsnacks@straightgolden And he chose to sleep with her.
They both made a choice, and he's choosing not to step up. Completely his choice, same as her, but that doesn't mean he's absolved in this situation.
@lightschoice@coffinsnacks@straightgolden Yea, if she lied to him about birth control he has no responsibility.
But if she didn't lie, he has some responsibility, which he can choose not to fulfil and be a deadbeat.
@kurapzs@straightgolden Completely agree he shouldn't be forced to be a parent, but I don't think you can say he's showing responsibility since he's not being involved. His choice, but that's not currently showing responsibility.
@LukeatMae@kurapzs@straightgolden I know, but I'm simply addressing the comments saying she lied about birth control with no actual proof or confirmation she did.
@lightschoice@JinxingUs@straightgolden Birth control isn't 100% effective, so there was still a risk, which he therefore also consented to.
I agree he shouldn't be forced to be a parent, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have an obligation here. He has a right not parent the baby, but it is still his obligation.
@JinxingUs@RealexOW@straightgolden You're siding with him because she lied, absolutely 100% would agree, but we don't actually know she did.
For all we know, he's assuming birth control is 100% effective, and her being pregnant must mean she lied.
We don't know for sure either way.
