It is now undeniable that studios are minimizing the labour of VFX artist for marketing schemes purposes. It is not ok and contributes to the demonization of our craft. Plz take a stand against this. #VFXUnion#Union

This might be one of the biggest step into AI making it into production., they weren’t production ready before due to the lack of range. Might change now.
I guess we’ll see what clients will accept it and what client won’t.
We didn't ship HDR and ask if the output held up. We asked studios to break the tech.
Gear Productions. Magnopus. Asteria.
The result: an HDR IC-LoRA on LTX-2.3 producing 16-bit HDR EXR files.
Gear ships LTX shots as final deliverables. Magnopus integrates AI assets onto LED walls. Asteria used the workflow on ChikaBOOM!, a Tribeca 2026 selection.
The line between generated and filmed disappears. Their words, not ours.

India-Based #DigikoreStudios Releases #KingdomGames Trailer: the 90-minute #3DCG film about a misfit team of animal athletes, created with an AI-assisted pipeline that touched every stage of #animation production, hits theaters on July 24. https://t.co/VZjwrahvlS #AIinAnimation #AnimationWorld
It’s really how interesting that even with some granular control, video models still give a weird vibe.
Happens with GC to Video model rendering too.
It’s technically there but there’s still a downgraded feeling from a similar shot from traditional methods.

Do they think we’re fucking stupid ???
Seedance didn’t key shit. They just stole existing output and pass it trough the model.
That short film has been around and wildly know for 6 years.
this changes filmmaking completely
Seedance 2.0 now can key green screen precisely and.. edit film scene layer by layer separately.. AI just made months of work one click..

@mikeindiee@CultureCrave No, it’s to acquire what made the company valuable (virtual productions and such) and killing some competion for the Sony VFX division
This is terrible news. I hope everyone manages to find a job soon. Sony just acquired Pixomondo in 2022, why buy them just to close them down after only 4 years? What a waste of talent and creativity. Pixomondo has made amazing VFX work for decades.
So.
Yesterday I received a DM on Instagram from a very prominent director. Mostly known for animated movies, and someone who rose to fame in the 90s with one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
Here was the message:
“The short film is terrific. I would love to learn more about your process. Which tools, etc. Let me know if you’d be willing to share.”
Someone who genuinely loves animation.
Someone who helped establish the medium many of you care deeply about.
Someone who has spent decades pushing storytelling forward.
Curious about AI.
Respectful of the work.
Interested in understanding how it’s done.
If people at that level can approach this with curiosity instead of fear, I’m pretty sure the rest of us can manage to do the same.
