I was one recommended to have a “common place book”. Over the last few years I’ve collected interesting quotations, the wisdom of the wise, the folly of the foolish, insights, weird things, aphorisms. Anyone else have one?
I try to tell my mentees my own story of “failing forward” when they doubt themselves but I think this quote sums it up “Never let the things you cannot do stop you from doing the things that you can.” - Coach John Wooden

52 yrs ago my family arrived from Cuba, fleeing persecution. Incredible that my grandparents were my age, w/ 5 kids, & had to start over in a new country & learn a new language. So thankful for them & their hard work to give us the opportunities we have today. “Que viva la pepa”
