A lot of folks asking how can donations for Gaza get inside right now with the blockade?

They can't

But, it's still critical we give now. Why?

See this thoughtful update from my teammate @HammamQ:

In response to the inquiries about how charities plan to send funds to Gaza amidst the blockade, here's the current situation based on my experience in charitable sector:
1. The majority of the charities we have onboard do not have a physical presence in Palestine and rely on local partners for aid delivery.
2. These local charities typically maintain a limited stock of supplies or cash for purchasing necessary goods and services from local markets including UN agencies, Oxfam and World food program.
3. It's crucial to note that these resources are depleting rapidly due to the severe and destructive nature of the recent Israeli attacks.
4. The most urgently needed items in Gaza right now include water, gas, and medical supplies and some of these essential items can only be obtained through the black market at significantly inflated prices.
5. Talks are underway regarding potential humanitarian pathways from Egypt, under the supervision of the United States and Qatar, but this is still in its early stages.
6. It's reasonable to assume that, especially if there's a substantial global response, particularly from the Muslim and Arab communities this Friday, we might witness exceptions allowing the transportation of goods into Gaza and the transfer of injured individuals outside.
7. Given this outlook, it's imperative that these charities continue to collect funds and be prepared to act swiftly once the opportunity for aid delivery emerges. Therefore, we should encourage donors to contribute starting now.
