Louisiana providers are at the forefront of an exciting new approach to support children with autism. Leucovorin (folinic acid), a low-cost, well-tolerated medication, shows promise for children with autism who have cerebral folate deficiency (CFD), with studies indicating improvements in speech, language, and social connection.

Dr. Steven Felix, a board-certified Developmental Pediatrician, and other Louisiana clinicians are collaborating with the Office of the Surgeon General to educate and mentor community physicians, sharing their experiences and success stories to help expand access to this promising therapy statewide.

We’re working hard to find ways to improve the lives of our children. I’m thankful for President Trump and Secretary Kennedy’s leadership in finding alternative treatment options for our kids.

We absolutely need reforms to address the catastrophic rise in autism rates. It is essential for safeguarding the health of our children and deserves full endorsement.

Thank you President @realDonaldTrump and @SecKennedy for your leadership and a common sense approach. Climbing autism rates represent an existential threat to our Nation.

- Conduct better, high-power studies on autism and linkage to Tylenol.
- Recommend Tylenol only when absolutely necessary in pregnancy and childhood.
- Manufacture singleton vaccines as an alternative to combinations.
- Replace aluminum and mercury-based vaccine adjuvants.
- Stop birth dose of Hep B vaccine unless the mother has the disease. A real no-brainer.
- LISTEN to mothers.

Doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result represents the definition of insanity. It is high time we do something different.

It was an absolute honor to have @SecKennedy join us in Louisiana as @LAGovJeffLandry signed SB14 into law.

We're proud that Louisiana is playing a leading role in setting a national standard for health and nutrition by banning artificial dyes and harmful preservatives in school meals, promoting local sourcing, requiring nutrition education for physicians, and mandating ingredient disclosures from food manufacturers and restaurants.

With unanimous support from both the House and Senate, this bipartisan legislation exemplifies a united commitment to #MakeLouisianaHealthy for our children and their future.

Concerns about vaccines are not mere suspicion but stem from critical analysis of real issues such as historical instances of adverse events, the growing childhood vaccine schedule, the lack of long-term studies comparing health outcomes in vaccinated versus unvaccinated populations and the accelerated approval of certain vaccines with limited safety data.

Given that vaccines approved for the childhood schedule grant manufacturers immunity from liability, ACIP committee members bear a critical responsibility to rigorously evaluate vaccine safety and efficacy, ensuring only those with robust evidence of benefit and minimal risk are recommended, as their decisions directly impact public health and trust.

Let’s give @SecKennedy a chance to restore credibility in our federal healthcare institutions by breaking the cycle of corporate capture.

Removing COVID vaccination from the CDC vaccine schedule for healthy children and healthy pregnant women was a giant leap forward. It’s the true definition of good sense and good science. A huge thanks to HHS @SecKennedy, FDA Commissioner @MartyMakary, and NIH Director @DrJBhattacharya.

In the United States, and in Louisiana, we spend a significant amount of time and resources to take better care of people after they are already sick. Relatively little energy has historically been devoted to answering the questions surrounding why, as a population, we are sick in the first place.

SB 14 represents a unique opportunity to protect our children, who cannot chose for themselves, and provide better information for adults who can.
