I attended @RoKhanna's town hall on 30 July to ask him a simple question.

Ro Khanna dodged my question entirely.

Focused mostly on the viral video of naked Kuki-Zomi Christians being paraded. Condemned that. Good. Said there should be "no violence against any place of worship." Good.

Pledged to strengthen the US-India relationship n Apparently isn't concerned about making respect for human rights a barrier to intimacy. Primary reasons given are that he wants to use India for its benefit to US foreign policy interests elsewhere;

Made no mention of how an unconditional strengthening of US-India relationship. Failed to consider how his agenda enables Modi to lead India into fascism, which actually creates an unstable India and thus an unreliable partner for America. The most recent case-in-point for Modi fashioning India into a fascist State is that, three months into the Manipur massacre, he still refuses to stop it or even condemn it.

Promises to speak "candidly" about human rights. When, especially if unprompted by a hunger-strike, we don't know. Why did it take this long for Ro to say anything at all, in an official public forum, about Manipur?

Refused to acknowledge presence of Kuki-Zomi tribal Christians, one of whom also spoke. Refused to acknowledge that ongoing violence in Manipur is primarily targeted at Christians. Refused to acknowledge that #ManipurHorror is occurring with state complicity.

Refused to acknowledge the demand that he speak on the House floor.

Ro, what’s so scary about making a specific statement against the ongoing massacre of Christians in Manipur? And doing it on the House floor.

My hunger-strike will continue until Ro pledges to take the House floor to SPECIFICALLY and SOLELY speak out against the ongoing anti-Christian massacre in Manipur.

Violence in #Manipur can be stopped ONLY by the #Meiteis

They are the ones who are attacking the #Kukis in the Hills.

That's the reason that the killed #Kuki men are always found in their own homes or nearby. The armed #Meiteis drove into the #Kuki villages to Kill, rape and burn down their homes.

So, have the #Meiteis not died?
Yes
Where were their bodies found?
Near #Kuki villages.
So, what were they doing in #Kuki villages?
They had come to kill #Kukis
Who killed them?
#Kukis who tried to defend their families against the armed #Meiteis

Asking both #Meiteis and #Kukis to stop violence and embrace peace makes no sense.

#Kukis cannot do anything. They are the ones being attacked.

#Meiteis can do everything. They can Stop attacking. Violence will Stop.

A disturbing video of Meitei mobs parading Kuki-Zo women recently surfaced on social media. This is unacceptable!! They are humiliated, molested and paraded not because they commit a crime but only because they belong to the Kuki-Zo community. This is the worst thing that could have ever happened to anybody.
