The US empire is waging an all-out assault on international law.
Why? Because the US knows its hegemony is declining fast, so it plans to wage even more barbaric wars around the world, in a desperate attempt to save its global empire.
What the US is doing to Gaza, Cuba, and Iran is what it plans to do across the Global South. And US officials want to make sure that they are never held accountable for their genocidal crimes against humanity.
Ateneo de Manila is the school of presidents, senators, oligarchs, and Cabinet secretaries. It is the finishing school of Philippine power.
Two poor boys died under their watch. One from Agusan del Sur. One from Nigeria.
Not exactly the Ateneo demographic, are they?
They were recruited for their height and their game. They were useful to the institution.
And when they died during a school-organized activity, the institution responded with four boilerplate paragraphs and a request for "privacy."
The most striking feature of Trump's visit to China was not any agreement reached between the two sides — in fact, no agreement was reached — but rather the attitude of Trump and the entire U.S. delegation.
For a long time, U.S. diplomacy has carried an inherent sense of superiority — when visiting most countries, American leaders tend to act condescending, apply pressure aggressively, and even change agendas at will, spring surprises mid-visit, or engage in high-stakes brinkmanship, constantly showing the ture color of hegemony. Trump expecially is the epitome of this kind of behavior.
However, during this visit, Trump was a completely different person from the impulsive, assertive figure we saw at home or in other countries. In China, Trump was disciplined, orderly, humble, polite, restrained, and steady — finally behaving like a president of a major power. China turned Trump into a well-behaved kid.
The Pentagon is in absolute panic. Famous Prof. Zhang Weiwei confirms China has officially cut off all rare earth exports to the US military.
He exposes how Washington's disastrous tech war completely backfired, leaving their weapons manufacturing severely crippled.
There is some confusion as to why China’s UN ambassador just criticized the US-Bahraini resolution on the Strait of Hormuz, given that Trump officials claim that the Chinese told Trump in Beijing that they agree that the Strait must be reopened.
The confusion may be about what “open” actually means in this context.
Based on my discussions with Chinese diplomats, “open” to the Chinese means that traffic flows through the Strait. Oil, gas, and goods come in and out. Money exchanges hands. Trade prevails.
It does not mean that there cannot be a mechanism where regional states charge a fee for the transit. Even with the fee, the oil can still flow. A blockade, however, is what keeps the Starit closed - not the fee.
While their preference understandably is that there is no toll at all, proposals are floating around that the Chinese are open to. They can live, for instance, with a regional mechanism that charges an environmental management fee. That is, a toll that isn’t framed as a toll.
So can the Trump administration, incidentally, though the US wants the mechanism to be fully regionalized rather than just managed by Iran and Oman.
Other GCC states - the UAE and Bahrain in particular - are dead set against this even if they were to be included in the mechanism.
But China has other reasons to oppose the US-Bahraini resolution, which has garnered over 100 co-sponsors among UN member states.
Though the draft resolution I have reviewed does not fall under Chapter VII - the previous one that Russia and China vetoed did not use the standard formula of “Acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations” but did include an Article 39-style determination, “Determining that Iran’s actions … constitute a threat to international peace and security” - it nevertheless does pave the way for a subsequent Chapter VII resolution that would authorize the use of force against Iran.

They told the whole world to avoid China. Decouple. De-risk. Sanctions. Tariffs. War rhetoric.
Then 12 US capitalists flew to Beijing to beg the Communist Party for deals.
Elon Musk. Top CEOs. Trump himself. All in China. Smiling. Shaking hands. Asking for business.
The same politicians who call China an "evil empire" are now standing in Beijing with their hands out.
Told Africa to stay away from China. Told Europe to cut ties. Told everyone China is a threat.
But when their economy is burning, when their factories are shutting, when their own system is failing, where do they run?
Beijing.
They do not believe their own lies. They just want you to.
Hypocrisy has no borders. But neither does desperation.
This is a masterclass on why China is rising and the United States is decaying:
“In America, you can change the political parties but you can’t change the policies. Billionaires in America control all policy making. China is a vibrant market economy but it is not capitalist. Billionaires in China can’t control policy and capital does not have enshrined rights. In America, capital itself has risen above the nation. In the last 66 years China is being run by one single party, yet the political changes that have taken place have been wider and broader and greater than any other country in modern history.”
This is why it is far better to have one party that serves the people than two parties that both serve corporations and billionaires.
The reason China surpassed the US is simple:
China invests in housing, education and healthcare to enrich its people. The US invests in war to enrich its oligarchs.
As a result 90% of Chinese people own homes while 70% of Americans struggle to afford housing, food & healthcare.
China’s President:
“The world is at a crossroads. Can the US and China create a new paradigm of relations to meet these global challenges together?”
America’s President:
“Chinese restaurants in America outnumber the 5 largest fast-food chains combined. That’s a big statement!”
The funniest contrast is the tone.
Xi was talking about bilateral relations, global turbulence, cooperation, confrontation, and the future of humanity.
Trump was basically saying:
“It’s an honor to be your friend.”
“You are a great leader.”
“I only say the truth.”
“The children were beautiful.”
One was conducting diplomacy.
The other sounded like he finally got a private dinner with his political crush.
🇺🇸🇨🇳 Why did all these powerful people go with Trump to kneel in China?
The answer is access to rare materials.
The reality is that Tesla, Apple, Boeing, GE Aerospace, and all the others desperately need China, while Beijing structurally needs them less and less.
China controls 70% of global extraction, 85% of refining, 90% of permanent magnets, and 99% of dysprosium and terbium, without which no F-35 fighter jet takes off, no MRI machine works, and no iPhone starts up.
And the card with which the US could blackmail China - semiconductors - is already completely exhausted. SMIC produces 7nm chips using DUV multipatterning, Huawei's Ascend competes with Nvidia on AI inference, QiMeng designs RISC-V chips via AI, and SMEE has announced its first domestic EUV machine for 2027.
The US is now totally dependent on China and its military machine without China will completely fail.
@BetterCallMedhi
Trump is in CHINA kissing MAJOR ASS RIGHT NOW:
Trump to Xi Jinping in Beijing:
“We’re going to have a fantastic future together. I have such respect for China. The job you’ve done. You’re a great leader. I say it to everybody.”
The same China Trump called a currency manipulator. 145% tariffs. Trade war. “They’re ripping us off.”
Xi didn’t even meet him at the airport. And he’s still doing it.
MAGA is COOKED.
The White House is completely silent as BBC confirms a consistent pattern of massive financial spikes occurring just minutes before Donald Trump makes market moving announcements. The administration is facing severe allegations of illegally profiteering off inside knowledge.
Due to poor discipline, Trump ends up prioritizing the optics of victory over actually getting a deal. Instead of using deescalatory signals from Iran to get closer to a deal, he declares victory and seeks Iran's humiliation, and by that he undermines his own diplomacy.
