@AgUSACAN Visited the exhibition on pandemics @NMNH today together w\@EUintheUS. SARS, Zika, Ebola, Hanta, Nipa, COVID-19 are all zoonoses: diseases which jump from animals>humans. In this world of interconnectedness, (new?) zoonoses are still a real threat. Need2raise awareness!
Day 4 of #MNAgAttachéTour: Lots of corn, soy, corn, soy, corn, soy, corn, soy in Minnesota. With a visit to @OtterBerryFarm too, who grows dry beans. Loved their corn maze, highly recommended! @AgUSACAN
Day 2 of #MNAgAttachéTour: inspiring visits to @Cargill HQ and @PURISfoods. Both have set ambitious goals: Cargill - 10 mio regenerative Ag acres in N-America by 2030. Puris - securing food security through a transition to plant-based diets. @AgUSACAN
1st day of #MNAgAttachéTour with a visit to the Capitol and @UMNresearch has finished. Traveling with Agricultral Attachés from +20 countries. Key takeaway: Kernza, a intermediate wheat, is #food of the #future. @AgUSACAN
