You're correct, but at least even in having the wrong idea, Kenyans are at least consistent in applying it. Which means the only problem that needs fixing in Kenya is how to convince Kenyans to change the formula.
How do you fix a problem like South Africa, in comparison? Those ones have the same false consciousness but also lack intellectual consistency, which allows many of them to mentally position themselves as Africa's best, and at the same time thoroughly detest everything about Africa.
At least now we know for certain that the mind of the typical Kenyan is still very salvageable. Now we know that no Kenyan is walking around Nairobi CBD with the idea in their head that if they meet someone who can't speak Sheng, that person is somehow deserving of beating or death. I'll take that as a starting point every day of the week.
Imagine trying your best to be the greatest artist you can be, only to find out you're just another piece in a global psyop promoting moral decay and the dummification of the masses.
Kabuda belongs in school. At the age of 11, the police arrested me, took me to court, and I was committed to an Approved School for seven years. That decision helped me go back to school before the government kicked me out three years later for protesting the abuse that was happening there. I was literally expelled from a juvenile correctional prison.
The Kenyan government has schools for juveniles who need protection and care, as I did, and that is where Kabuda and all street kids who do not have a home to go back to belong. The corruption in Kibaki’s government led to the closure of Kabete Approved High School, and now you can only get a primary school education.
Ruto, in his blind ambition to build brick-and-mortar everywhere, is appropriating approved school land (now known as rehabilitation schools) and building avoidable housing. Street children belong in school, and the Directorate of Children’s Services is supposed to ensure that, but no one cares anymore.
If I had not been arrested at the age of 11, I would be dead today, because rarely do street kids grow to old age; the cold, the violence in the streets, and mob justice kill them quickly before they reach adulthood. Some of those who grow into adulthood become hardcore gangsters who graduate from snatching phones to violent muggings and robberies; in the end, they end up getting killed or in jail.
The issue of street children needs to be addressed as a matter of national security. Educate them, and they will build our nation tomorrow instead of dying young or filling our jails.
My next book will be titled
THE POLITICAL ECONOMY OF UNDER-DEVELOPMENT: THE CASE STUDY OF HOW SUCCESSIVE KENYAN GOVERNMENTS TURNED LUOS INTO IMAGES OF PITY
A reminder that the protest march to KWS included many caucasians and asians, but ONLY BLACK PEOPLE (including justice Maraga) were arrested. This is land is our ancestral birthright, but the state called Kenia is certainly not our country.
Dear Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia and Kenya, Emmanuel Macron is not your friend and France is not your partner - he is your predator and France is what France has always been.
Nothing has changed.
To all Kenyan brands using AI to promote their products FUCK YOU. NAIVAS, HANAN TISSUE, KINGSMILL BREAD, FESTIVE BREAD etc etc nyote mkunywe dawa ya panya before niamke kesho
Shut up, @EmmanuelMacron: You have no right to speak condescendingly to Africans in their own country and continent. After hundreds of years of slavery, colonialism, exploitation, repression and racism by the French and other Europeans against Africans, you, a pathetic slave master, can’t lecture Africans about “respect.”
