@elonmusk Hey @elonmusk, could you do some donuts with a @tesla semi and then pop out the 2nd gen roadster from the trailer when it’s ready? Best new car launch ever!
Lambert High School in Georgia was the only U.S. school to place in the high school top 10 at iGEM, an international synthetic biology competition. The other top teams included one from South Korea, one from Taiwan, and seven from China. https://t.co/1NfIKjbozP
Teacher Janet Standeven was working on bringing synthetic biology to high schools all across Georgia, but the Trump administration cut the money, claiming it fell under DEI – diversity, equity, and inclusion. https://t.co/ujGijhy4PU
“They are so smart I can’t keep up,” says Kate Sharer, biotechnology teacher at Lambert High School in Suwanee, Georgia. “Because they are still teenagers, so they're thinking so far out of the box.” https://t.co/NgTXzjFD4D
Sri is one of the good guys. If you can help his daughter in any way, the world will be a better place.
Our 10-year-old daughter and our whole family are sending our love.
.@mkoeris was just named the new head of @DARPA's Biological Technologies Office. This is significant because DARPA has a budget of over $4 billion and has been investing in synthetic biology for the past decade. Mike also comes from the lab of Jim Collins, one of the founding fathers of the field of synthetic biology. Mike founded multiple companies and was a VC at Flagship Ventures - he really understands the needs of startups. It’s an understatement to say that having Mike in the driver’s seat at BTO is going to be a major win for the bioeconomy. Mike is also a friend of SynBioBeta - he came to the very first conference in 2012 and has been a part of the ecosystem ever since. I’m excited to see what he’s going to do at DARPA.

If you’re not familiar with DARPA, it was founded to create and prevent strategic surprise by driving and supporting innovation that not only ensures US national security but benefits the planet too. You can meet Mike’s colleague Lieutenant Colonel Adam Willis at #SynBioBeta2024 this year! https://t.co/E5qQ058noM
