@AmberlieLake I always say to myself, "Wow, do I really sound that way?" It's so interesting to hear it. The other day, one of my kids said that they had a headache and the other responded with, "Keep telling yourself you don't have one and it will go away! Speak it!" lol
@ShaynaQuick17 Yes to both of you! This is definitely a learned trait. Practicing is going to help you overcome that. Insecurities can play into this too, definitely a good opportunity to self-reflect. @jacobsjam56 and @ShaynaQuick17
Ch7Q3-Students need to know that it's ok to have a challenge, that gives us an opportunity to grow. If they see you do this through modeling, that is priceless. Patience is big in my room and I can be transparent with them to help them connect and identify with me. #griffisgrows
Ch7A2: I think a big way to put growth-mindset strategies in the classroom is by not letting one negative incident have an affect on the whole day. Moving past it and learning from a mistake is so important to teach students. #GriffisGrows
Ch7A1: This just happened yesterday! SUCH A GOOD MOMENT! I love being able to show my students how far they have come! Definitely growth mindset! I said to her, "Wow! You just keep getting stronger and stronger with your reading! I'm so proud of how hard you try!" #griffisgrows
