Supreme Court, Prime Minister, Sindh High Court, Bilawal Bhutto and Chief Minister Sindh should take notice of the Extra Judicial Killing of Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Sindh.
A young doctor was killed by #Pakistani police in a staged encounter & his body was given to the rabid religious fanatics to burn, all on false charges of #blasphemy. Islamists have subsequently showered the police w praise. They have been hailed as the "defenders of religion."
Doctor accused of #blasphemy was not just killed; religious extremists burned his body, denying him a proper funeral.
The flames of hatred consumed not just his life, but his right to a final, peaceful rest. 1/2

Failing to present di accused in court, staging a police encounter, & then handing over the body to the crowd to be set on fire is a violation of the legal process, both unconstitutional & illegal. Article 10-A of the Constitution of Paki guarantees the right to a fair trial. :(
Police says, they did not kill him, Dr. Shahnawaz Kunmbhar, if that is the case then for what reason Police officials are accepting flowers, for what service? What they have done? Including a DIG? shameful, police did not produce accused even in court! Accused of blasphemy in #Sindh
Strongly Condemn on the killing of Sindhi Dr Shahnwaz on Fake Allegation.
Cm Sindh Syed Murad Ali shah And Interior Minister Sindh Take action against killers.

Extremist presents flowers to police officers, allegedly in response to the killing of an innocent individual who claimed his ID was hacked. Standing nearby are a Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and a Member of the National Assembly (MNA), this is not our peacefull Sindh :(
पाकिस्तान में मॉब लिंचिंग की घटनाओं में कमी आई है। किसी निर्दोष को भीड़ पीट पीट कर मारे, इसके पहले पुलिस उस निर्दोष को गोली मार देती है।

The staged killing of Dr. Shahnawaz by Sindh police in Umerkot under the guise of a #blasphemy charge is a deeply troubling event that highlights the dangerous use of blasphemy laws in Pakistan. Dr. Shahnawaz's explanation, in a video prior to the encounter, that hackers had posted the offensive material on his inactive account should have prompted a thorough investigation, not a hasty extrajudicial execution.
This incident exposes the alarming trend where blasphemy accusations are weaponized to silence individuals, often without evidence or due process. The role of the police in this case, reportedly orchestrating his death instead of upholding justice, reflects a broader failure of law enforcement and judiciary to protect citizens from mob violence and to ensure that accusations are handled within the framework of law. Such actions only reinforce a culture of impunity, where accusations of blasphemy become death sentences, regardless of the truth.
It is critical that both domestic and international human rights organizations call for an immediate investigation into the actions of the Sindh police. The killing of Dr. Shahnawaz is not just a tragic loss of life, but a stark reminder of the lethal consequences of unchecked extremism and lawlessness in Pakistan. If left unaddressed, these kinds of encounters will continue to embolden those who exploit blasphemy laws for personal and political gain, further eroding the rule of law and human rights in the country.
The doctor in Umarkot, Sindh, who was booked on blasphemy charges, has been killed in an alleged police encounter. The top officials who failed to properly investigate the charges are now receiving praise. #Umorkot
He was Dr. Shahnawaz Kumbhar who was a topper in his medical education and a senior medical officer at Umerkot Mirpur Khas division of Sindh. He was allegedly accused of writing blasphemous posts on Facebook. He was arrested by police. Police shot him to death in custody
