All things originate in the mind. Actions and events depend heavily on motivation. Appreciation of humanity, compassion and love are key points. If we develop a good heart, whether our field is science, agriculture or politics, since motivation is so crucial, they’ll all improve.
Congratulations to RCN members and other nursing staff in this year’s New Year’s Honours List. Dame Professor Donna Kinnair said “It’s wonderful news that so many nurses have been recognised. Nurses constantly go the extra mile to give the best possible care for their patients.”

Welcoming today's report from @UniversitiesUK . The Open University gives people the opportunity to train alongside work, and continuously evolve their skills through lifelong learning. Two things that are vital to addressing the UK skills shortage.

@OpenUniversity Happy #OUCharterDay - my proudest moment was graduating in 2016 after six years which included a wedding, two babies and two different jobs and a house move. Flexibility was key and I have never been so proud as on my graduation day at @ExeterCathedral
