United States v. Wong Kim Ark: The Court defined "jurisdiction" as being physically present and subject to U.S. laws. (2/3)

@Rockingham12212 @RpsAgainstTrump What you posted is literally what I said. Giving birth on Sovereign Tribal Land might as well be giving birth in Canada or any other sovereign nation. It's not considered America's jurisdiction. Historically, it was basically a different country for the purposes of the 14th.(1/3)

So regardless of whether the verdict is the 14th does or doesn't cover everyone born here, the law still would have needed to exist since native land is a 'country' within a country.

Basically a country within a country. So even if the 14th covers anyone born here, it wouldn't apply to Native Land. Hence that law was passed.

Legally, being born on tribal land was seen as being born under a different jurisdiction. The 1924 Act wasn't a "fix" for the Amendmen, it was a change in how the U.S. viewed tribal sovereignty.

@remedygames Can both things not be true at the same time? Yes, the game wouldn't exist without Epic funding it, but the caveat of exclusivity to a storefront with exponentially less reach most definitely means less people playing it which equates to less revenue in the long-term.
