Many English journalists are the first to pick up even a small incident affecting a Hindi speaker. But when Kannadigas face discrimination in Kannada land, the same journalists remain silent.
What is the agenda behind this silence? @dpkBopanna
‘City Lights’ (Kannada) was a good watch
Not only were music/editing/cinematography/art design/performances strong—there was convincing emotional component that recognises director Vijay Kumar as a capable maker
May ‘City Lights’ succeed at BO & importantly, help illuminate KFI
Bengaluru Like you have Never Seen Before!
One shot FPV through the heart of Bangalore ❤️
Shot with proper permissions from Police officials and Govt of Karnataka 🙏
“My grandfather built Electronic City!!”
Cool down!!
Konkani People like @vikpai keep quiet about North Indian Hindi dominance and arrogance in Indian politics. The Government of India is dominated by North Indians and treats non-Hindi speakers like second-class citizens. It takes a large share of our tax money, spends it in Hindi-speaking states, and then asks us to keep quiet in the name of nationalism.
Many people from North Indian states migrate to non-Hindi-speaking states and expect Hindi even on the streets of Bengaluru. Some even say, “You are not Indian” when someone in Bengaluru says they cannot speak Hindi. There have also been incidents where Hindi-speaking officers in banks in Karnataka have told people to “get out of India” for not knowing Hindi.
But Konkani Vikram Pai is busy giving free advice to Kannadigas and claiming that his grandfather built Electronic City.
Vikram Pai should also remember that his forefathers were safeguarded by Kannadigas when Konkanis faced attacks in their homeland.
Kannadigas do not need lectures from such people about how to treat others or how to be welcoming.
If @vikpai has received a death threat(Now it is changed as hate), he should report it to the police.
Kannadigas opposing Hindi dominance does not mean they are anti-North Indian. Vikram Pai should apologise for spreading this false narrative against Kannadigas and Bengaluru.
Lakhs of Hindi-speaking people live and work in Karnataka. The issue is not where someone comes from. The issue is when people come to Karnataka, make no effort to respect or learn the language of the land, and then tell Kannadigas, in Karnataka itself, to “learn Hindi or leave India.”
Vikram Pai, this kind of anti-Kannada attitude on Kannada land needs to be called out first.
Starting a company in Karnataka and providing jobs to Hindi-speaking people does not give anyone the right to portray Kannadigas and Bengaluru collectively as “anti-North Indian” simply because they oppose Hindi dominance.
And let us not forget history., Vikram Pai your great-grandfathers came to Karnataka during difficult circumstances, were given protection and were provided opportunities to settle, grow and prosper here by Kannadigas, that history deserves acknowledgement and respect, not sweeping accusations against Kannadigas.
Kannadigas have welcomed and supported different communities for generations. Opposing Hindi dominance is not the same as opposing North Indians.
Just want to say this, @TheNameIsYash — you’ve genuinely tried something out of the box rather than taking the predictable route of making another regular, expected, formulaic follow-up to your previous commercial blockbuster.
It takes a different mindset, conviction, and most importantly, the guts to attempt something like this.
#Toxic is an unusual and commendable attempt. There are several portions that are genuinely intriguing and open to great debate, discussion, and learning.
Kudos to you for daring to experiment and step away from the conventional.
Bestest wishes, my friend. ❤️🤗

As an artist, when you play a character, you try to bring it to life from the bottom of your heart. And here, I am truly impressed by the conviction with which the struggle of a powerful man has been portrayed.
Maybe the plot and driving characters are not on the usual track on which most films travel, but that doesn’t mean the track is wrong. The effort that goes into telling a story, and the journey it takes from being a thought in the mind to becoming a film on screen, is humongous.
@TheNameIsYash sir, hats off to the way you have surrendered yourself to a character and a world that demands a larger-than-life performance. I could clearly feel that in every single scene.
It’s not easy to give the audience an experience of how guilt multiplies and increases the toxicity in life. I stand with you for attempting this daring experiment, sir.
We love you for the love you have for taking Kannada cinema to the global stage.

I paid ₹3,000 for a FASTag Annual Pass. It's ACTIVE with 93 trips left. Yet I'm being charged FULL toll at eligible NH plazas. 🚨
Vehicle: KA17MB2692
❌ 17 wrongful deductions since 5 June = ₹955
(Devanahalli, Karjeevanhally, Kulumapalya, Chokkenahalli, Guilalu, Nelamangala plazas — all Annual Pass–eligible. Proof: my own statement shows the pass worked at these SAME plazas till May.)
❌ Raised 2 complaints — NHAICO/54614/2026 & NHAICO/54872/2026. Both CLOSED saying "not pertaining to Kaniminike Toll Plaza."
I never mentioned Kaniminike. My complaints were about Devanahalli & Karjeevanhally. Complaints closed without even reading them.
I want:
1️⃣ Refund of ₹955 (all 17 transaction IDs in attached proof)
2️⃣ My Annual Pass honoured at eligible plazas
3️⃣ Both complaints reopened with a real response
Why should I pay twice after paying ₹3,000 in advance?
@FASTag_NETC And my 2 complaints NHAICO/54614/2026 & 54872/2026 were closed citing "Kaniminike Toll Plaza" — a plaza I never mentioned. Closed without reading. Is this how Annual Pass customers are treated after paying ₹3,000 advance?
@FASTag_NETC This is not a normal wrong deduction. My ACTIVE Annual Pass (NHAI product, bought on Rajmargyatra) is not honoured at eligible plazas since 5 June. 17 deductions, ₹955. That's a pass configuration issue on NHAI/IHMCL side. Please fix, don't redirect.
