'Threads' is the name of a film I saw in the 80s about a nuclear bomb being dropped on Sheffield.
It's also the name of a book about the migrant crisis by the brilliant

They've recently discovered that the adolescent brain doesn't finish it's development until the age of 24.

In contrast to Orhan Pamuk's 'My Name is Red'- which I found an extremely uncomfortable read, and didn't realise it's genius until I had got to the end- I'm finding Alice Albinia's 'Cwen' totally compelling.
I love the way my summer reading often takes on mysterious themes.
