The gent who was managing the place came out to help my friend (who arrived first) with a key issue and she was asking about where the alternative door was and he then argued with her that “it’s accessible because it has a lift inside”… he knows and is refusing to change

Absolutely fuming, had some issues with an accommodation insisting it was wheelchair accessible when it’s not, there are 3 steps to get in an no alternative access. The person who listed the flat had refused to remove the accessible tag so we reached out to @bookingcom

@bookingcom I will send a DM as well but surely https://t.co/eb0XFfkdMf should have some oversight when it comes to properties making false claims and refusing to update them.

… honestly I don’t care about the money I care about the fact that they’re allowing blatantly false access information. This isn’t a matter of ‘coming to an agreement’ it’s a fact, it’s not accessible.

… directly in the hopes they could do something as although I was able to just about manage with the help of friends, the tag needs removing.
Just had a response to say they couldn’t ’reach an agreement’ with the accommodation and that they’ll give us some good will credit…

@spoonfulofhan Of the people who knew me before I was sick I can say that two have absolutely stayed right by my side, they have become absolute rocks and they sadly don’t live close but are still always there. They’re not the majority but I wouldn’t trade them for anyone

@blindandb0ujee As a wheelchair user i genuinely love other people advocating for themselves and using the ramp if they need it! The gap used to terrify me when I was much more ambulatory with my cane and I wish I’d had the confidence and knowledge then to ask for it.

@broadwaybabyto I’m so sorry everyone’s been so awful, I hope you got something safe to eat and can get a new microwave soon! But 100% use whatever you need to, unfortunately there isn’t always a ‘good’ option (I’m uk so not 100% what the doordash issue is) but you need to eat 💖

@WickedNFine Agreed! I used to give my mum like £25-50 from my paycheque depending on how much I had (we needed the money but she wouldn’t take more), I think a small amount is good to learn responsibility but not all of it!

@Savaoraidh_ The attitude of the statements are awful, even for those of us who ‘have other options’ sometimes we don’t, I currently work but am likely at risk of losing my job soon because of the sheer volume I’m off sick due to my disability, I’m able to be semi independent but I’m lucky

@CraftyMissB @ElizaBGraphics I have the same symptoms sometimes (also fibromyalgia) but also didn’t get on with amitrypyline but found duloxetine better for me. I also have a soft silicone conditioner brush I use instead of my nails when I need to scratch my head to try avoid triggering it

@DrMBotha My workplace is thankfully inclusive and the branch I work in is accessible and has had some minor adjustments made for me… despite that if that branch closed there’s not many others I could work at with my chair.

@StagecoachGM I don’t like having to constantly complain but I’ve literally just had another issue with one of the drivers. I’ve just got on the 15 to flixton leaving the city centre (should have left 7:15) and the driver sighed and rolled his eyes when he saw me waiting for 1/?
