The Kenya-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) Sensitization Workshop is underway in Lower Eastern Region.

The session has brought together a delegation from the European Union led by @EUAmbKenya Henriette Geiger, representatives from Government, and leaders from different Business Member Organisations (BMOs), to discuss the agreement’s provisions including the EPA support programs, opportunities, and its role in sustainability, industrialization, and economic development.

Her insights emphasized the importance of the Solid Waste Management Act and the need for aligned legislation to enhance circular economy practices across the region.

With unified regulations, EAC countries can accelerate progress and achieve meaningful sustainability outcomes.

What a fantastic conclusion to our second day of the Consumer-Led Transformation (#CLT) Initiative in Meru County!

We equipped more than 50 waste management operators with a comprehensive waste management toolkit to aid their work, along with personal protective equipment (PPE) for their safety. The Waste Management Operators (WMOs) were thrilled with the support! KEPRO is committed to shifting public perceptions of waste operators and enhancing their dignity.

Together, we can advance towards sustainable waste management.
