@LKrantzberg @Flipgrid @Classkick Thank you! I have been using a lot more Flipgrid and getting more comfortable with it. I have not heard of Classkick!
A6. What are some of your favorite pieces of technology programs to use? What is some advice going into student teaching especially in this crazy year? #2ndchat
A5. I never would have imagined my student teaching would be like this. It is difficult for me because I want to make plans, but I can't do that due to the all unknown. How is everyone planning future lessons? #2ndchat
@allie_forsterer I feel like I am going to be in the same boat next year when I student teach. It's not going to be as easy to connect with the other teachers in my department.
A4. The students actually are doing a good job of staying in their boxes during gym. We are implementing a lot of individual skill activities with equipment they can do in their box. #2ndchat
A3. The school that I will be at next semester has 3rd and 4th graders in the whole district learning PE online. For the in person classes, the students have to be 6 feet apart at all times. Each student has a box that they have to stay in. #2ndchat
A2. I am most worried about keeping the students socially distance and having the students collaborate together in the gym. It is also challenging to keep the students engaged and motivated to do school online especially at a young age. #2ndchat
A1. Due to COVID restrictions and regulations, I have the opportunity to have my fall practicum with the same teacher that I will be student teaching with in the spring. I am excited to get to know the students and the teacher before student teaching. #2ndchat
Hi everyone! I am Tori Klingsmith and I am majoring in Health and Physical Education at Trine University. My classes are 100% in person. I am student teaching in the Spring so I am excited to hear what everyone has to say about this year. #2ndchat
Set your reminder for tonight! @kosienm is leading us in a reflective check-in chat! Come build your PLN and connect with supportive educators as we all enter this unprecedented (I had to, lol) school year! #2ndchat
I really like this Triple E Framework image. It gives me more of a visual how technology can help engage, enhance and extend learning goals in the classroom. I will reference this image in the future making sure the technology is being used efficiently. #EDU463#teacherbytrine
I loved learning about the SAMR model this week. It is important because It is such a powerful tool when focusing on how to implement technology in the classroom. #EDU463#teacherbytrine
I didn’t even think about this! Technology allows every student to participate (We all know or have been that quiet student) plus it takes less time. #teacherbytrine#ED463
Teachers only need to use technology if it makes it easier for you as the teacher and for the students. We need to use technology more effectively and if we do it well it will help the student become more engaged in their education. #teacherbytrine#ED463
@ChloeVruno What would we have done without zoom in this pandemic? I am so glad we have technology especially in times like this. It is so important to stay connected with students even if we are 100% online.
@tcbieniewicz I also want and hope to learn how to use technology effectively in the classroom. I want to be a gym teacher and whenever I get told I have to use technology in a lesson plan, I think to myself, "How do I do that in the gym without taking away play time?"
I want to teach students tools how they can live a healthy lifestyle. My goal is to have students want to come to gym class not just because they have to. I don't want my kids to think PE is a punishment. I think technology will help me track data. #EDU463#teacherbytrine
I look forward to taking #EDU463. I am hoping to learn more about resources that I can use in my gym and be more comfortable using them. I also want to learn how to use technology effectively in the gym without taking much of their gym time. #teacherbytrine
